The Importance of Accepting Correction and Reproof in Obedience to the Commandments of Moses
Positive Christianity Series Episode #83
"Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments and live."- Proverbs 4: 4
We learn that while initially accepting correction and reproof may not feel positive, we are able to understand that it is with the intention to keep us in the path of eternal salvation. We learn that obeying the commandments of Moses allows us to know that we have the help of GOD Almighty who prevents us from being in the path of perdition in the practice of sin and idol worship. We learn that obedience to the commandments allows us to know that we can practice zeal and fidelity to GOD Almighty while being set apart from the path of perdition in the practice of folly, lukewarm belief, and irresponsibility. We learn that correction and reproof allows us to develop discipline and responsibility so that we do not practice things that are not trying to help us. While there are things that "appear" to "help", we need to distinguish the things that actually help us from the temporary lies, lust, and envy that attempt to lead to the path of perdition when there is no repentance of sin. We learn that while evil attempts to speak temporary lies to lead to the practice of sin, there are no good things in the practice of sin, idol worship, and vices. We learn that evil attempts to make sin enticing with temptations based on temporary lies, yet we know that they do not help, do not allow individuals to grow and prosper, and do not provide salvation. We learn that this describes the need to know the difference.
"The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death."- Proverbs 13: 14
We know that GOD Almighty helps us persevere and grow amidst times, obstacles, and circumstances. Even when there is persecution or opposition, GOD Almighty helps us persevere amidst everything. This is similar to Abraham and Sarah, Moises, and David who persevere amidst times, obstacles, and persecution. This describes why we can keep persevering in the path of eternal salvation with correction and reproof. We learn that there is reason, logic, understanding, wisdom, counsel, insight, and sound doctrine when we decide to accept correction from Scripture and obedience to the commandments of Moses. This speaks about having sound doctrine that rejects false philosophies of hate and lust and the practice of sin, idol worship, and vices. We learn that the commandments of Moses speak eternal truth in the manner that the worship of GOD Almighty helps us prosper while the practice of sin causes difficulties, stagnation, and destruction. We learn that we can not doubt GOD Almighty and instead, we can doubt the false philosophies of hate and lust, false and negative information, and false prophets that want to lead to the practice of sin and idol worship. In these times that we are living in describing the times before the great tribulation, we are able to know why we can not practice idol worship seeing the difficulties that the practice of sin has caused in society since fifty years ago.
Forsaking Sin and Vices
We learn that the increase of weather events, earthquakes, diseases, and famines are due to the practice of grave sin and wickedness. We know that we can not practice sin and instead learn the importance of receiving instruction and correction from Scripture. We learn that GOD Almighty is a loving Father and helps us persevere with correction and discipline. We also know that there is justice and judgment against wickedness. We learn that GOD Almighty instructs the commandments to Moses so that we can receive wisdom in obedience to the commandments and refrain from folly. We learn that we are able to receive blessings and favor in the worship of GOD Almighty with sincerity of heart. We are able to understand that post-modern society has attempted to normalize the practice of sin while causing additional difficulties to society and the earth. We are able to know that we are not supposed to practice idol worship because it leads to difficulties, stagnation, and destruction of the unrepentant wicked. We learn that the practice of idol worship can lead to delirium and madness. We learn that GOD Almighty speaks truth when He tells us that we are not supposed to practice adultery. We learn that adultery causes severe difficulties including the practice of polyamorism where there are non-monogamous polygamous "relationships". This can lead to negative emotions because there is no monogamy and causes resentment, hate, anger, and envy. The practice of adultery can lead to even greater difficulties in fornication and homosexuality.
For this reason, we can understand why the commandments forbid the practice of adultery and coveting. This describes why we must accept correction and reproof and forsake lust so that we do not practice fornication that wants to lead to adultery and homosexuality. This describes why there has been a rise of antibiotic resistant STD's in the past decades due to the practice of irresponsible polyamorous fornication leading to adultery and homosexuality that can lead to even worse diseases describing H.I.V. and A.I.D.S. We know that there is no cure for H.I.V. and A.I.D.S. We learn that the practice of adultery can lead to the practice of idol worship, sin, vices, and cause venereal diseases describing antibiotic resistant STD's seen in Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis, negative emotions describing hate, anger, envy, and coveting, unplanned pregnancies, abortions, and mental health issues. We are able to understand the importance of having dominion over lust so that we avoid the practice of fornication and adultery that want to lead to homosexuality. This describes the need to accept correction and reproof so that we understand that Scripture speaks truth about the need to avoid specific vices and sin. We learn that GOD Almighty cares about us and does not want us to be in the path of perdition in the practice of sin and idol worship. Instead we can develop virtues and have gratitude knowing that we do not need to have envy and coveting. If we are single, we can have gratitude for knowing the times that we are living in and make sure that we worship GOD Almighty with our time, work, and resources so that there is no laziness or sloth that can attempt to lead to envy and coveting. We can choose to remove lust and negative emotions from our lives, and have gratitude to GOD Almighty for providing correction and reproof. If individuals are married, then there is the need to not practice adultery and to worship GOD Almighty above everything.
