The Importance of Genuine Empathy
The Importance of Genuine Empathy
Positive Christianity Series Episode #87
"Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered."- Proverbs 11: 25 Solomon Describes the Importance of Empathy
We learn that we are supposed to practice empathy because the virtue of empathy prevents us from being narcissistic. We learn that empathy allows us to understand different perspectives and have filial love for others without having negative emotions or ulterior motives. We learn that this describes the manner that empathy helps us increase in other virtues that are needed including humility and zeal. We learn that empathy is developed when we decide to worship GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth above everything and obey the commandments with sincerity of heart. We learn that the temporary lies of evil attempt to say that, "empathy is weakness", with the intention to cause individuals to be narcissistic and self-centered. We learn that false philosophies of hate and lust want individuals to remove the filial love and empathy that they have for humanity and replace it with hate, envy, anger, and coveting. We learn that if there is no empathy, then there is narcissism instead. We learn that we are supposed to guard our heart and mind from the temporary lies of sin that want to cause the practice of idol worship and vices. We learn that if there is no empathy, we learn that there is probably anger, hate, envy, and coveting that describes idolaters. This allows us to know that the practice of idol worship leads to negative emotions and coveting with the intention to not obey the commandments of Moses seen in monopoly "capitalism", socialism, and communism.
"Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out."- Proverbs 10: 9
For this reason, we are supposed to develop virtues in the worship of GOD Almighty while removing vices. We know that empathy is not weakness because we learn that having filial love and gratitude prevents us from having anger and hate. We learn that when there is empathy and sincere worship of GOD Almighty, there is also zeal that is developed. We learn that zeal prevents us from believing the temporary lies of idol worship and self-worship. We learn that we are able to understand that zeal, meekness, and empathy are strength because we are guarded from the temporary lies of false philosophies of hate and lust that want to lead to envy and coveting. We learn that empathy describes the manner that we care about ourselves, and we care about others. This describes the manner that we still guard ourselves from false prophets, adulterers, adultresses, narcissists, and idolaters. We learn that we are supposed to guard ourselves from false and negative information and false philosophies of hate and lust. We learn that false philosophies of hate and lust attempt to "appear" to "help" with fake "empathy" that is superficial and not real. We learn that instead there is hate and anger that is being taught. We learn that real empathy describes wanting the best for oneself and others in the worship of GOD Almighty and obedience to the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart. This allows virtues to develop in individuals while preventing vices that want to cause difficulties, strife, conflict, and negative emotions.
We know that Psychology describes that individuals that are grateful and have gladness of heart throughout their life are able to persevere to longer life. This speaks about the manner that there are positive health outcomes when we decide to practice gratitude and have a positive demeanor. We know that Christianity tells us of the need to get rid of negative emotions and persevere with gratitude to GOD Almighty and gladness of heart. This understanding helps us know that we can not practice negative emotions, idol worship, sin, lust, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, temporary lies, and vices because they lead to difficulties, stagnation, and destruction of the unrepentant wicked. This speaks about the manner that obedience to the commandments of Moses describes the importance of loving GOD Almighty above everything and being able to respect humanity because humanity was created by GOD Almighty. Because humanity was created by GOD Almighty, we can not hate humanity. We learn that this wisdom prevents us from hating and practicing sin. This also prevents us from being narcissistic and guards us from the dangers of practicing hate, anger, envy, and coveting.
