Positive Christianity Series Episode #94
"For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."- Matthew 6: 14-15
We know that GOD Almighty tells us that we can repent of our sins and persevere without negative emotions. We learn that the need to repent of sin allows us to get rid of negative emotions that evil wants to use when there are resentments, bitterness, and hate. We learn that evil wants individuals to look at their past with negative emotions while Christianity tells us that we are forgiven our sins when we repent with sincerity of heart and are able to persevere with motivation. We learn that in Christianity, repentance of sin allows us to let go of negative emotions and also helps us remind ourselves that GOD Almighty forgives us when we repent with sincerity of heart. We learn that this is similar to righteous individuals who did not have negative emotions and instead persevered without having anger, hate, envy, and coveting describing Moses, Lot, Hannah, and Joseph. We learn that Joseph was hated by his own brothers and yet was able to persevere amidst envy, false accusations, and temporary lies. We learn that Joseph did not have anger and hate and instead trusted in GOD Almighty and was able to persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that Joseph increased in Egypt so much so that he was trusted by Potiphar to run his household and then by Pharaoh to have authority over Egypt in the times of famine. We learn that because of Joseph, Israel was able to persevere. We learn that instead of Joseph looking to avenge himself against his brothers, Joseph trusted in GOD Almighty and was able to persevere. We learn that Joseph teaches us that we are not supposed to have negative emotions and instead trust in GOD Almighty.
We learn that Joseph states that GOD Almighty used the evil against Joseph for good. We learn that King Jesus Christ tells us that we need to repent of sin and not have negative emotions because we are supposed to trust in GOD Almighty. We learn that we are not supposed to judge because we know that only GOD Almighty can judge. GOD Almighty knows the intentions of the heart and the mind of individuals for all time and for all eternity. We are supposed to persevere trusting in GOD Almighty while having gratitude and positive emotions. We are supposed to trust in GOD Almighty so that we place our emphasis and attention on the worship of GOD Almighty, obeying the commandments of Moses, preaching King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior, increasing in virtues, and having gratitude for the favor, blessings, and goodness that we have. We learn about the importance of repenting of sin and obeying the commandments in Christianity Exodus 20: 1-17. We also learn about the importance of eternal salvation in King Jesus Christ.
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."- Matthew 6: 19-21
"The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces."- Psalm 119: 72
We learn that David speaks in the Psalms about the manner that obeying the commandments and the Sacred Scriptures are more important than thousands of gold and silver pieces. We learn that King Jesus Christ tells us in the Gospel about the need to give priority to the worship of GOD Almighty and not to treasures on earth. We learn that Job describes the manner that he trusted in GOD Almighty over the initial resources that he had. This describes the manner that we are not supposed to place our emphasis on the temporary and fleeting pleasures and instead choose to delight in the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that this describes the manner that the worship of GOD Almighty gives us eternal meaning and purpose that does not perish and that is able to help us have motivation throughout our days.
This describes the manner that there are righteous individuals including Abraham and Sarah who trusted in GOD Almighty instead of trusting in their resources or trusting in idol worship. We learn that the treasure and pleasure of Abraham and Sarah was the worship of GOD Almighty so much so that not being able to have children at their age did not prevent them from having gratitude and gladness of heart. We learn that they trusted in GOD Almighty, and GOD Almighty gave Abraham and Sarah eternal descendents, blessings, and goodness for deciding to worship GOD Almighty above everything. This describes the distinctness and uniqueness that exists when we choose to repent of sin and worship GOD Almighty above everything.
