Accepting Correction and Reproof
Accepting Correction and Reproof
Positive Christianity Series Episode #98
Paul describes the importance of accepting correction and reproof in order to practice righteousness. We learn that GOD Almighty tells us in the Sacred Scriptures and the commandments the things that we can practice and the things that we can not practice. This instruction allows us to increase in wisdom so that we do not practice folly. We learn that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom when we decide to obey the commandments of Moses and hate evil. This is considered wisdom. We learn that when we decide to practice righteousness in obedience to the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart we are able to improve developing discipline, diligence, and wisdom. GOD Almighty disciplines us so that we know the difference between righteousness and iniquity. We learn that we are supposed to remove negative emotions describing frustrations, fear, resentments of the past, anger, hate, bitterness, envy, and coveting, idol worship, and the practice of sin.
We learn that we are able to improve in virtues when we decide to remove the negativity and practice of sin from our lives. We learn that we do not need to practice sin because it only leads to vices, stagnation, difficulties, and destruction. We learn that GOD Almighty allows us to have reproof so that we know the things that actually help us from the things that "appear" to "help" while actually leading to stagnation, vices, and destruction. We learn that when we worship GOD Almighty, King Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of Truth above everything with sincerity of heart, we are going to obey all of the commandments Exodus 20: 1-17. We learn that we begin to increase in wisdom being able to acknowledge that we can not believe temporary lies of evil that want to lead to envy and coveting so that the commandments are disobeyed.
"My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights."- Proverbs 3: 11-12
GOD Almighty wants us to obey the commandments so that we do not practice iniquity, self-righteousness, hypocrisy, evil, and sin. This speaks about being able to accept correction and reproof so that we do not walk in the path of perdition. We learn that evil wants to lead to disobedience so that individuals think that they can practice sin because of nihilism and atheism and that sin does not cause difficulties. We learn that this is a temporary lie and instead we need to acknowledge that having faith, zeal, meaning and purpose in the worship of GOD Almighty prevents having meaninglessness and faithlessness. When we have correction and discipline, we are able to see the importance of having meaning and purpose knowing that each person will give an account of himself to GOD Almighty. This speaks about understanding the importance of constructive criticism or correction that enables us to remove the things that do not help us and that we do not need. We do not need to believe the temporary lies of nihilism and atheism. We do not need to practice sin. We do not need to practice idol worship. We do not need vices.
We learn that obeying the commandments allows us to have eternal meaning and purpose in the worship of GOD Almighty, King Jesus, and the Spirit of Truth. Eternal meaning and purpose prevents us from being discouraged, demotivated, and prevents us from believing the temporary lies of evil that are based on non-constructive criticism, envy, and hate. We learn that instead of hating, we can acknowledge the importance of having filial love to GOD Almighty and humanity. We learn that obeying the commandments is also practicing filial love, genuine empathy, justice, equity, equality, wisdom, and fidelity to GOD Almighty. We begin to improve and develop virtues while removing sin and vices. We learn that the worship GOD Almighty allows us to have favor, blessings, health, goodness, wisdom, motivation, significance, purpose, salvation, and protection from sin and evil. This describes the importance of worshiping GOD Almighty above everything and accepting correction and reproof.
"It is for discipline that you have to endure. GOD is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Besides this, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best for them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it."- Hebrews 11: 7-11
