Having Dominion Over Lust
Having Dominion Over Lust
Positive Christianity Series Episode #120
King Jesus Christ tells us in the Gospel about the need to have dominion over lust similar to how we have dominion over the emotions. We learn that the Sacred Scriptures describe the need to remove lust from our lives so that it does not lead to worse sin describing fornication, adultery, and homosexuality. We learn that lust does not want sin to remain small sin and wants to lead to the practice of adultery and homosexuality. For this reason, we are supposed to have dominion over lust and remove lust from our lives and instead have the practice of virtues that prevent the practice of sin and idol worship. We learn that humility allows us to remove arrogance that attempts to lead to lust, coveting, idol worship, adultery, and homosexuality. We learn that we can persevere without practicing lust knowing that sex is created with the intention of being used with responsibility in a marriage between a man and a woman in order to raise up righteous children. We learn that sin wants individuals to practice sex outside of marriage so that there are complications, difficulties, stagnation, woes, and vices that lead to destruction of the unrepentant wicked. We learn that Moses tells us in the instruction of the commandments of the need to avoid coveting and adultery.
"You shall not commit adultery."- Exodus 20: 14
We learn that there are difficulties and complications that irresponsible sex outside of the marriage leads to. We know that there are severe difficulties ranging from unwanted pregnancies, abortions, sexually transmitted diseases that are antibiotic resistant and have no treatment, envy and hate based on polyamorous 'relationships', the manner that lust attempts to lead to adultery and then to homosexuality where there are also diseases with no treatment. We learn that lust wants to lead to other vices that do not help and lead to the practice of grave sin, negative emotions, and idol worship. This describes why we need to guard ourselves from sin and lust. We need to practice filial love and genuine empathy in obedience to the commandments so that we do not practice hate and lust. We know that lust is not a substitute for filial love and genuine empathy. We learn that if we have filial love and genuine empathy, we are not going to hate. Instead of hating people, we can hate evil and this is considered wisdom. We can guard ourselves from false and negative information, false philosophies of hate and lust, and negative and false prophets.
We can remove false philosophies from our lives including MGTOW, feminism, socialism, communism, monopoly "capitalism", atheism, nihilism, and racism that want to lead to resentments, anger, hate, lusting, and then to falsely making people believe that lust is a substitute for filial love and genuine empathy. We are able to restrain and have dominion over the emotions and instead have gratitude, serenity, harmony, and true joy. We learn that we can also have dominion over lust practicing humility, chastity, gratitude, temperance, wisdom, zeal, and fidelity to GOD Almighty. We know that this is going to allow us to know that we must respect humanity because it is part of creation. Instead of having lust in our hearts, there is the manner to respect each other knowing that we can practice respect, obedience to the commandments, and genuine empathy instead of hate and lust.
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart."- Matthew 5: 27-28
We learn that if we accept and confess King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior, obey the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart, and repent of sin, we are able to remove sin and lust. We can look at individuals with respect instead of having lustful intent. This describes practicing genuine empathy. This describes respecting one another. We know that lust wants to cause difficulties to individuals so that they have hate, anger, envy, and no genuine empathy. Respect, responsibility, filial love, and genuine empathy prevents arrogance, irresponsibility, lust, and anger from occuring. This describes the importance of dressing with modesty for both males and females, removing arrogance, avoiding negative and discouraging talk, and removing lasciviousness. This allows us to respect ourselves and our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ while being set apart from false prophets who want to cause discouragements, unneeded conflict and quarreling, hate, envy, division, lust, intemperance, nihilism, slothfulness, bitterness, lukewarm belief, idol worship, irresponsibility, and coveting. We are able to pray to GOD Almighty to help avoid the practice of sin and have wisdom, humility, perseverance, and most important of all, fidelity, to the GOD of gods, GOD Almighty.
