Not Judging Others

 Not Judging Others

Positive Christianity Series Episode #129

"Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of GOD; for it is written, 'As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to GOD.' So then everyone of us will give an account of himself to GOD."- Romans 14: 10-12

We learn from the Sacred Scriptures that we are not supposed to pass judgment on others because we do not know all the details. We know that only GOD Almighty, the Creator and LORD of everything, is able to judge. This wisdom prevents us from having negative emotions, envy, hate, anger, and resentments that evil attempts to foment to lead to unneeded strife and conflict. We know that the accuser wants individuals to be at odds with one another and to pass judgment on others for no reason so that there is strife, discord, and envy for no reason. We learn that instead of listening and much less believing the lies of evil, true Christians do not envy and instead seek to worship GOD Almighty obeying the commandments, practicing kindness, seeking to live with serenity, and avoiding quarrels and unneeded strife.

We know that only GOD Almighty is Omnipresent, Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Righteous so we do not have to worry because there is true justice, equity, and equality. We learn that GOD Almighty knows all the details for all time and all eternity so we can trust GOD Almighty and not have to judge or take matters into our own hands knowing that GOD Almighty gives vengeance against the wicked. We know that we do not need to hate and envy even when there are false prophets that try to foment hate and envy. We know that evil wants individuals to hate and envy so that there are resentments, coveting, and disobedience to the commandments. We can avoid false prophets, false and negative philosophies, and temporary lies of evil that want individuals to hate others for no reason.

We learn about the snake not wanting Adam and Eve to live in Paradise and how it told temporary lies to Eve about how it could help Eve when all it did was cause difficulties to Adam and Eve. We learn that evil wants individuals to be hostile to others without reason. We learn that the wicked in the times of Lot also were destroyed for being hostile and envying Lot. We learn in the Sacred Scriptures about individuals that are wicked and listened and believed the temporary lies of evil. We learn that Pharaoh hated Israel because they were growing in Egypt. Instead of Pharaoh appreciating the story of Joseph and the manner that Israel had helped Egypt not die in the famine, we learn that Pharaoh instead listens to the lies of the snake and envies Israel. We learn that the envy and hostilities do not help Pharaoh and instead destroys Pharaoh. We learn that the hostile nations that opposed Israel in the desert also did not receive favor for practicing envy and being hostile to Israel seen in the Canaanites, Bashan, and Amorites. We learn that we are supposed to live in serenity and harmony with one another instead of envying and being hostile for no reason. We learn that the Amalekites and Moab were also afflicted for being hostile to Israel. We know that Moses and the righteous persevered in the desert and reached and obtained the land of Canaan that became the land of Israel.

We learn that we do not have to hate or envy people, but we can hate evil. This is considered wisdom. We learn that even when Moses had already divided the Red Sea and allowed Israel to pass on dry ground, made streams of water from a rock, provided quail and food, and defeated idolatrous and hostile nations because of the worship of GOD Almighty, Korah's rebellion despised and envied Moses for no reason. We learn that Moses and the righteous persevered while Korah's rebellion was destroyed for refusing to obey GOD Almighty, rebelling against Moses, and wanting to return to captivity in Egypt. This wisdom allows us to know that we can have gratitude for the good things that we have including autonomy, freedom, gladness of heart, perseverance, zeal, humility, and most important of all, fidelity, to GOD Almighty. We know that GOD Almighty allows us to persevere without hate, resentments, and envy. Paul was able to help his fellow Christian brothers and sisters in Christ providing encouragement, wisdom, and motivation instead of causing division, hate, and conflict. We know that Paul encouraged righteous Christians in the nations including Greece, Rome, Cyprus, Asia Minor, and even Jerusalem. We learn that even when there were false prophets, Pharisees, Saducees, and false apostles fomenting division and quarreling, Paul helped motivate and encourage others and Christianity increased in the nations.

"Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide not to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the path of a brother."- Proverbs 14: 13
