Removing Lust and Hate
Removing Lust and Hate
Positive Christianity Series Episode #124
"The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the treacherous are taken captive by their lusts."- Proverbs 11: 6
We learn that the Sacred Scriptures describe the need to persevere obeying GOD Almighty. This wisdom allows us to persevere with true joy and happiness knowing that we do not need to have negative emotions describing hate and envy, do not need to practice lust, and do not need to have resentments of the past. Solomon describes in the Proverbs the need to practice righteousness and fidelity to GOD Almighty that delivers us from destruction in the practice of sin and wickedness. Instead of practicing iniquity and sin, we decide to practice righteousness and persevere with virtues and true joy instead of vices. We learn that the treacherous, wicked, and evildoers are taken captive by their lust meaning that they practice fornication, adultery, and homosexuality and are destroyed. This describes the importance of having dominion over the emotions especially anger and envy and also having dominion over lust.
We know that lust is a grave vice that attempts to lead to stagnation because there is a decrease of energy, vitality, and discipline when individuals decide to practice lust. We learn that while evil attempts to speak temporary lies about lust not being a grave vice, we know that lust is not a small vice. We know that evil says that lust is inoffensive when the reality is that it attempts to lead to slothfulness where individuals do not want to do anything all day, they do not have discipline, and this leads to a lack of meaning and purpose. We know that obedience to GOD Almighty helps us develop discipline, persevering being industrious preaching and worshiping GOD Almighty, and have eternal meaning and purpose because we are going to Shabbath Millennium on New Earth and live for all eternity in New Jerusalem. For this reason, we are supposed to remove everything that does not help us persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty, improve, and strengthen ourselves each day. We know that lust wants to speak temporary lies to make individuals think that pornography use is inoffensive when it tries to lead to fornication, fornication then tries to lead to adultery, and adultery then tries to lead to homosexuality. If we persevere with fidelity to GOD Almighty, GOD Almighty is able to redirect us to the path of life so that we do not believe the temporary lies of sin and remove hate and lust from our day to day lives. We know that if individuals are wicked, they are led astray to the path of destruction when they do not want to repent of sin. This describes the importance of having a conscience so that we avoid lust and hate. We are able to repent of sin and persevere with motivation, discipline, and gratitude to GOD Almighty for giving us wisdom to know that we can not practice sin and vices that only lead to significant difficulties and destruction of the wicked.
We learn in Scripture of wicked individuals that are destroyed because they practiced hate and lust. We learn about Balaam who is destroyed for prioritizing illicit monetary resources to the worship of GOD Almighty and helping Balaak and Moab. We learn that the wicked women of Moab who tried to tempt were destroyed, Balaam was destroyed by the sword, and the wicked who chose to practice idolatry and adultery were destroyed by the plague. Meanwhile, Moses and the righteous persevered in the desert defeating five idolatrous nations and making it to the Promised Land of Canaan that became the land of Israel. We learn that Ahab and Jezabel also practiced hate and lust persecuting innocent and righteous priests including the prophet Elijah. Elijah persevered without practicing sin and was able to accomplish amazing signs and wonders that returned Israel to the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that Ahab and Jezabel practiced idol worship in idolatrous temples while failing to repent of sin. Even when Elijah showed mercy by allowing rain to fall after three and a half years of drought due to the iniquity of Ahab, Jezebel, and the false prophets, Ahab and Jezebel do not repent. When Ahab and Jezebel attempted to persecute Elijah, GOD Almighty destroys Ahab through broken diplomacy with Syria and Jezebel through Jehu. Elijah perseveres glorying GOD Almighty so much so that he does not see death and instead is taken up to heaven without dying.
"No ill befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble."- Proverbs 12: 21
This describes the manner that lust and hate want to lead to worst sin to the point that it attempts to tempt individuals to persecuting the righteous even though there is nothing good out of that seen in the story of Balaam, the wicked in the times of Lot, and Ahab and Jezebel. We learn that while lust attempts to say that there is satisfaction and happiness in practicing lust, it is a temporary lie because humanity is not created for that. We know that sex is supposed to be used with responsibility because sex is created so that a marriage between a man and a woman can procreate righteous children that worship GOD Almighty. Sex is not meant to be used without responsibility because there are difficulties that exist for fornicators, adulterers, and homosexuals. We are supposed to be far apart from the practice of sin and from false prophets that want to lead to adultery. We know that adultery is not helpful, necessary, nor needed and only leads to difficulties. We are supposed to accept correction and reproof from the commandments so that we do not practice idolatry. We learn that adultery wants to lead to idol worship, and idol worship wants to lead to adultery. We learn that when an individual has a reprobate mind that not longer has a conscience, does not accept correction, and keeps on practicing folly and vices, there is destruction for the unrepentant wicked. We learn from examples in Scripture of wicked individuals that rebelled against GOD Almighty and were ultimately destroyed including Pharaoh, the wicked in the times of Noah, the wicked in the times of Lot, Korah's rebellion, Balaam, Ahab and Jezebel, Jeroboam, Jehoram and Atalia, Pashur, Shemiah, Hananiah, Herod, the Pharisees, the Saducees, Pontius Pilate, and Judas Iscariot.
