Removing Lust and Practicing Discipline and Humility

Removing Lust and Practicing Discipline and Humility

Positive Christianity Series Episode #123

"So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to GOD in Christ Jesus. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions."- Romans 6: 11-12

Paul describes that we are able to remove sin from our lives when we decide to worship GOD Almighty above everything. We are able to have dominion over the emotions and over lust. This wisdom is going to prevent us from practicing sin, lust, hate, and envy. We know that evil attempts to make individuals think that lust is an inoffensive vice, when in reality, it tries to lead to worse vices and idol worship. There is no need to believe the temporary lies of sin that want to lead to the practice of lust, pornography use, fornication, adultery, and homosexuality. Lust does not try to remain small sin and wants to lead to worse and worse sin until there is the practice of fornication that attempts to lead to adultery and then to homosexuality. We know that the practice of lust can cause difficulties.

The difficulties that the practice of lust leads to includes the practice of envy and coveting that we do not need. Lust tries to lead to idol worship attempting to make individuals believe that they can substitute filial love and genuine empathy with hate and lust. This is why we have to avoid negative false philosophies of hate and lust describing atheism, nihilism, socialism, communism, MGTOW, feminism, and racism. We learn that lust wants individuals to hate others and cause strife while falsely making people believe that they can practice fornication and adultery although that only leads to more difficulties. We know that there is envy and strife in polyamorous relationships that false philosophies do not mention. We learn that there is coveting and anger in polyamorous relationships because there is no stability compared to monogamous relationships. We know that there are venereal diseases including antibiotic resistant bacteria describing Syphylis, Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia that have changed in the past decades and also viruses including HPV and HIV that have no cure. This describes guarding ourselves from the temporary lies of evil that want to cause difficulties and strife.

We know that there is also a lack of energy that exists when individuals practice lust. In pornography use, we know that scientific studies have shown that constant pornography use can lead to a decrease of energy, lack of discipline, and even vices seen in slothfulness and laziness. We know that post-modern society has attempted to make it seem that pornography use is normal, yet does not describe that it can lead to slothfulness, decreased discipline, and worse sin including fornication and adultery. This is with the intention to make it seem that lust can be normalized being that there are difficulties in the practice of lust. Instead of lust, we can have responsibility knowing that we can have dominion over lust and remove anything that is not trying to help us persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty.  We know that sex is created for procreation of righteous children in a marriage between a man and a woman. We know that irresponsible use of sex can lead to health complications, unwanted pregnancies, and even abortions. We know that these are all difficulties that are not needed. We know that all these complications stem from the practice of lust, fornication, adultery, and homosexuality. The false philosophies of hate and lust do not describe the difficulties that exist in the practice of hate and lust.

The Proverbs of Solomon describe that practicing adultery can lead to a lack of energy, slothfulness, and decreased discipline because it is disobedience and sin. Lust does not say that it is not only trying to lead to adultery and homosexuality, but that it is trying to foment vices including intemperance, gluttony, slothfulness, laziness, avarice, greed, arrogance, hate, anger, bitterness, resentments, and envy. The irresponsible use of sex can lead to a drain of energy causing individuals to feel tired, unmotivated, and undisciplined. We know that when we decide to remove pornography use, we begin to develop increased discipline, motivation, and have energy throughout the day to persevere preaching and obeying the commandments of Moses. Instead of vices, there are virtues that keep increasing and improving. We learn that the wisdom of honoring GOD Almighty above everything allows us to persevere without difficulties, stagnation, laziness, slothfulness, avarice, greed, intemperance, egoism, arrogance, hate, and envy and instead there are virtues that help us have gratitude, cheerfulness, perseverence, character, integrity, stamina, ethics, morality, strength, might, understanding, knowledge, wisdom, humility, persistence, might, strength, power, authority, dominion, sovereignty, zeal, responsibility, and most important of all virtues, fidelity, to GOD Almighty. We are able to remove lust from our hearts and instead obey the commandments of Moses. We can choose to deny lust that wants to lead to fornication, fornication wants to lead to adultery, and adultery wants to lead to homosexuality.

"And now, O sons, listen to me, and do not depart from the words of my mouth. Keep your way far from her, and do not go near the door of her house, lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless, lest strangers take their fill of your strength, and your labors go to the house of a foreigner, and at the end of your life you groan, when your flesh and your body are consumed, and you say, 'How I hated disciple, and my heart despised reproof!'"- Proverbs 5: 7-12

"For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under the law but under grace."- Romans 6: 14
