Persevering With Encouragement Amidst Envy, Persecution, and Obstacles

Persevering With Encouragement Amidst Envy, Persecution, and Obstacles

Positive Christianity Series Episode #135

The Sacred Scriptures describe that we are able to persevere abounding even amidst the envy, persecution, and obstacles that we may be going through. We learn that even in the Old Testament there were righteous individuals that were able to persevere amidst the envy of evil. We learn that in the New Testament the disciples and apostles were able to preach King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior even when there was envy. We learn that Cephas was able to preach even with the envy of the Saducees who slandered Cephas and did not want individuals to know about the Resurrection of King Jesus Christ and eternal salvation that exists in the worship of GOD Almighty and confessing King Jesus Christ, Eternal King of kings. We learn that the disciples and apostles were able to preach and make new disciples and apostles from the nations and Israel showing the truth of King Jesus Christ that Christianity would be preached to Israel and the nations.

We learn that the story of John, the disciple, describes the manner that even amidst obstacles and envy, John was able preach and write. We learn that John, the disciple, was able to persevere preaching King Jesus Christ even when a false apostle was trying to impede the real disciples and apostles from preaching. We learn that instead of having discouragement, John, the disciple, was able to write his letters and keep preaching King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior. We learn that we are supposed to persevere even amidst the envy from false prophets and false apostles. We learn that the false apostle attempted to prevent John from entering a church and attempted to prevent others from entering church. We learn that the false apostle was egoistic and narcissistic attempting to prevent real disciples and apostles from entering church and also spoke slander about John and the real disciples and apostles.

"I have written something to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge our authority. So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church."- 3 John 1: 9-10

"For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the arrival of King Jesus Christ in the flesh. Such a one is the deceiver and an antichrist."- 2 John 1: 7

This describes in a similar manner Korah's rebellion who did not accept the authority of Moses while wanting to return to captivity in Egypt. This describes that we are able to persevere even amidst persecution and envy. We learn that instead of being discouraged by slander and obstacles, John kept encouraging his brothers and sisters in Christ. We learn that this describes the power of GOD Almighty of allowing us to distinguish between truth spoken by real Christians from the envy, foolishness, and temporary lies of false prophets. We learn that we can be far apart from false prophets and persevere speaking truth from the Sacred Scriptures. Instead of being discouraged, we can encourage ourselves knowing that the Parable of the Sower describes that individuals that persevere preaching King Jesus Christ even amidst temptations or persecution are able to produce fruit meaning that we are able to worship GOD Almighty above everything and help individuals understand truth so that they accept and confess King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior. We do not have to convert anyone, yet we do have to preach so that individuals can have an opportunity to listen to truth, repent of sin, and obtain eternal life in King Jesus Christ. This wisdom prevents us from believing the temporary lies of evil.

We learn that even with persecution and envy, the righteous are able to persevere with determination and motivation amidst obstacles. We learn that John, the disciple, was also exiled to the island of Patmos in Greece because he kept preaching King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior. John was able to receive the Revelation of King Jesus Christ that speaks about future time events and the need to persevere with motivation and encouragement amidst the end times. We learn that King Jesus Christ did not forsake John, the disciple, because he was able to keep preaching amidst everything. We learn that even when he was exiled to Patmos, he was able to keep writing and preaching truth in King Jesus Christ. We learn that John, the disciple, was able to keep preaching even into 90 A.D. describing the perseverance that GOD Almighty helps righteous individuals have. We can be motivated knowing that even amidst times of difficulty, we can keep speaking eternal truth in King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior.

"For everyone who has been born of GOD overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith."- 1 John 5: 4
