Prioritizing the Worship of GOD Almighty
Prioritizing the Worship of GOD Almighty
Positive Christianity Series Episode #139
King Jesus Christ described in the Gospel the need to worship GOD Almighty above everything including temporary material possessions and temporary material wealth. We learn that King Jesus Christ's instruction is similar to Moses' instruction of worshiping GOD Almighty with all our mind, heart, strength, and being so that we are able to obey all of the commandments. We learn that a rich young man asked King Jesus Christ what was needed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We learn that King Jesus Christ described the need to worship GOD Almighty above everything and obey the commandments of Moses. We learn that we are supposed to worship GOD Almighty with everything that we are above the temporary things of this life.
"And behold, a man came up to him, saying, 'Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?' And he said to him, 'Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.'"- Matthew 19: 16-17
King Jesus Christ instructs on the need to obey the commandments instructed to Moses on Mount Sinai on two tablets of stone. We learn that this is congruent with the instruction of Old Testament by Moses and the Prophets. We learn that there are false philosophies that have attempted to say that King Jesus Christ did not instruct the commandments. We learn that King Jesus Christ instructed the commandments instructed to Moses and not six hundred mortal made false "commandments" from the Pharisees. We learn that this wisdom allows us to understand that King Jesus Christ spoke truth and wanted individuals to obtain blessings from GOD Almighty by obeying the commandments Exodus 20: 1-17.
"He said to him, 'Which ones? And Jesus said, 'You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, Honor your father and mother, and You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' The young man said to him, 'All these I have kept. What do I still lack?' Jesus said to him, 'If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.' When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.'"- Matthew 19: 18-22
We learn that we are supposed to fight against sin by choosing to obey the commandments of Moses. We learn that King Jesus Christ instructs the commandments to an individual who asked about obtaining eternal salvation. We learn that King Jesus Christ also instructs the individual to prioritize the worship of GOD Almighty over temporary material wealth. We learn that the individual decided to prioritize temporary material wealth over the worship of GOD Almighty. We know that King Jesus Christ stated that individuals need to prioritize the worship of GOD Almighty over money. We know that individuals can not worship GOD Almighty and money because they are going to choose one over the other. We learn that this is consistent with Old Testament preachings by Moses who tells us that we should prioritize the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn about the wicked and faithless that worshiped a golden calf and were destroyed by the plague.
We learn that we are supposed to worship GOD Almighty above everything. We learn that resources are for the worship of GOD Almighty and not to prioritize temporary material possessions or temporary material wealth. We learn that the rich young man decided to leave with sorrow because he did not want to sell his possessions and give to the poor because he had prioritized his temporary wealth. We know that King Jesus Christ tells us that we can persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty and trust that GOD Almighty provides our necessities. This is important because Moses trusted in GOD Almighty along with the righteous of Israel in the desert and obtained much greater than basic necessities because they thrived in the worship of GOD Almighty. Moses and the righteous made it to the land of abundance describing the land of Canaan that became the land of Israel. King Jesus Christ in a similar manner tells us to trust in GOD Almighty and obey the commandments instead of trusting in temporary material wealth.
