Trusting in GOD Almighty's Eternal and Infinite Sovereignty

Positive Christianity Series Episode #149


We learn that GOD Almighty gives favor and blessings to Abraham and Sarah and Abraham's and Sarah's eternal descendants because of their humility and fidelity to GOD Almighty. We learn that GOD Almighty tells Abraham and Sarah that their eternal descendants would sojourn in the land of Egypt for 430 years and would be able to be freed from Egypt after that time. We learn that GOD Almighty frees Israel from Egypt after 430 years. We learn that this describes the eternal and infinite authority, sovereignty, power, and dominion of GOD Almighty. We learn that we can trust in GOD Almighty because He is the Creator and LORD of all. We learn that GOD Almighty helps us persevere when we choose to practice faith and trust in the promises of GOD Almighty and not believe the temporary lies of evil. 

"As the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. And behold, dreadful and great darkness fell upon him. Then the LORD said to Abram, 'Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years. But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come up with great possessions. As for you, you shall go to your father's in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age. And they shall come back here in the fourth generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete."- Genesis 15: 12-16

"When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between the places. On that day, the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, 'To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittities, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."- Genesis 15: 17- 21

We learn that GOD Almighty had decided to favor Abraham and Sarah and Abraham and Sarah's eternal descendants with the land of Canaan that became the land of Israel. We learn that this was because Abraham and Sarah were righteous and humble. We learn that they decided to worship GOD Almighty above everything and not practice sin, vices, and idol worship. We learn that Abraham and Sarah never doubted GOD Almighty and instead doubted the temporary lies of evil. We learn that GOD Almighty's promises of having offspring were fulfilled including the manner that the eternal descendants of Abraham and Sarah obtained the land of Canaan that became the land of Israel seen in the book of Exodus and Joshua. We learn that GOD Almighty gave Abraham and Sarah's eternal descendants blessings and favor because they decided to worship GOD Almighty above everything including above trusting in their material resources or doubting due to their age. 

We learn that the wicked and hostile nations practiced grave sin describing adultery, idol worship, and destroyed their own newborns. We learn that for this reason, GOD Almighty was able to judge the idolatrous and hostile nations for destroying their own newborns. We learn that even when Moses had taken Israel out of Egypt, Moses was able to persevere even amidst hostilities from idolatrous nations that did not want Israel to go towards the land of Canaan. We learn that Israel did not look to fight against those nations, yet they tried to oppose Moses and Israel. We learn that Moses and Israel were able to persevere in the desert even when there were five hostile nations. GOD Almighty was able to judge the nations of the Canaanites, Bashan, Amorites, Amalekites, and Moab for trying to be hostile to Israel. 

Even amidst the hostilities from idolatrous nations, GOD Almighty was able to allow Moses and Israel to thrive in the desert. We learn that Israel thrived because of their obedience to GOD Almighty and their filial love for the worship of GOD Almighty. This describes that Israel is favored and blessed by GOD Almighty so much so that they grew in Egypt so much that Pharaoh became envious. We learn that Israel grew in the desert increasing in numbers in a terrain where there was no water, no food, no light, harsh weather in the day and night, and five hostile and idolatrous nations. To the human mind there would be questions concerning how they thrived in the desert without trusting in resources and idol worship? We learn that the worship of GOD Almighty allowed them to persevere and thrive in the desert obtaining water from a rock, bread from heaven and quail, being led in a column of clouds during the day and a pillar of fire by night, and defeating the five hostile nations allowing them to obtain the land of Canaan that became the land of Israel. We learn that we can trust in GOD Almighty's Eternal and Infinite Sovereignty so that we do not believe the discouragements of the snake. We learn that GOD Almighty is a shield to Abraham and Sarah and Abraham's and Sarah's eternal descendants.  We learn that we can persevere acknowledging the grace and blessings of GOD Almighty.
