GOD Almighty is Vengeance Against the Wicked and Idolatrous
Episode #169
Jehu is able to persevere with zeal for the worship of GOD Almighty. After judging Ahab, Jezebel, and Ahab's offspring, Jehu goes and destroys the false prophets of Ahab and Jezebel. Jehu gathers all the false prophets and worshipers of idols in a specific false temple and proceeds to destroy the idolators. This is important because we know that GOD Almighty judges wickedness. While it appeared that Ahab and Jezebel were able to practice idol worship and wickedness, GOD Almighty judges sin and wickedness. The false prophets and worshipers of idols are destroyed by Jehu when he said that he was going to worship Baal, yet decides to gather the evildoers to destruction for their wickedness and idol worship.
GOD Almighty is Righteous and Just being able to destroy evildoers when GOD Almighty decides. The story of Jehu allows us to know that we can not believe the temporary lies of evil that wants to lead to idol worship when idol worship leads to the destruction of the wicked. Jehu is favored for obeying GOD Almighty with zeal. We learn that Jehu is allowed to be king over Israel. We learn that Jehu is the only king out of the northern ten tribes of Israel that is considered righteous. This is because Jehu has zeal for obeying GOD Almighty while Ahab was wicked, practiced cowardice, and was idolatrous. Jehu obtains favor being able to obey GOD Almighty judging the wicked false prophets of Ahab and Jezebel.
"Now Jehu had stationed eighty men outside and said, 'The man who allows any of whom I give into your hands to escape shall forfeit his life.' So as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guard and to the officers, 'Go in and strike them down; let not a man escape.' So when they put them to the sword, the guard and the officers cast them out and went into the inner room of the house of Baal, and they brought out the pillar that was in the house of Baal and burned it. And they demolished the pillar of Baal, and demolished the house of Baal, and made it a latrine to this day."- 2 Kings 10: 24-27
Jehu destroyed the worship of Baal and describes the importance of zeal. We learn that the practice of evil is folly. We learn that in Hebrew evil means foolishness. We learn that foolishness is having a lack of wisdom. Instead of practicing foolishness and evil, we decide to worship GOD Almighty and obey the commandments of Moses. We accept correction and reproof similar to Jehoshaphat and decide to be far apart from foolishness and evil. GOD Almighty was able to judge the wicked when GOD Almighty decided. For this reason, we trust in GOD Almighty and persevere obeying the commandments of Moses. If false prophets or false apostles try to suggest the practice of sin that is disobedience to the commandments of Moses, we avoid such people regardless of how much knowledge they have of Scripture. We are supposed to prioritize wisdom that is obedience to the commandments of Moses instructed on two tablets of stone on Mount Sinai and keep learning wisdom from the Sacred Scriptures.
We learn that we can persevere amidst adversity, times, and persecution because the Sacred Scriptures describe that there were individuals that were saved because they obeyed GOD Almighty. We learn Job persevered without resources and being doubted by his wife and supposed "friends". Moses and the righteous of Israel did not practice idol worship and adultery when tempted by Moab and Balaam. We learn that Jehoida and Jehoshebeath persevered obeying GOD Almighty even amidst the hate and envy of Athalia. We learn that David persevered being gangstalked by Saul who was paranoid and mad due to his envy. We learn that Paul was persecuted by Pharisees, idolators, and false apostles and yet kept preaching through it all. Abraham and Sarah trusted GOD Almighty even when Lot was taken captive, and Abraham rescued Lot. Elijah and Jehoshaphat persevered trusting in GOD Almighty. We can persevere trusting in GOD Almighty while we await the return of King Jesus Christ from the clouds. We are able to leave the justice in GOD Almighty's hands and persevere without negative emotions. We can persevere with fidelity to GOD Almighty.
