Jehu Judges Ahab, Jezebel, Ahab's Descendants, and the False Prophets
Positive Christianity Series Episode #166
GOD Almighty judges wickedness when GOD Almighty decides. While the snake wants to tempt to the practice of sin saying that no one knows that sin is being practiced, we learn that this is a blatant lie. We learn from the Sacred Scriptures that GOD Almighty knows the actions and intentions of every individual for all time and all eternity even before they are in the womb, even before they are born, and even before they say their first words, or take their first steps. We learn that GOD Almighty had given Ahab and Jezebel multiple times to repent, yet decided to keep practicing sin. Even after Elijah had made fire fall from the skies, made rainfall in times of drought, and reproved Ahab of his sin, Ahab and Jezebel practice sin.
We learn that Ahab and Jezebel had decided to take Naboth's garden without consent from Naboth. We learn that they falsely accused Naboth and killed Naboth. There is the understanding that they also killed Naboth's children. We learn that this grave sin causes judgment to be stored for Ahab and Jezebel. We learn that Ahab and Jezebel are judged by Jehu. We learn that Jehu was the commander of Ahab and Jezebel's army. GOD Almighty tells Elijah to anoint Jehu king of Israel. We learn that this describes the absolute, eternal, and infinite power of GOD Almighty. Jehu decides to obey GOD Almighty with zeal so much so that he does not question GOD Almighty. This describes the favor that exists in obeying GOD Almighty with zeal.
We learn that GOD Almighty judges the wicked when He decides. We learn that while it appears that the wicked are able to practice sin and wickedness, GOD Almighty knows that they are practicing sin since GOD Almighty is Omniscient and Omnipresent among other qualities the human mind can not understand. We also know that there are books written in heaven with the sins of each individual. GOD Almighty gives grace so that individuals can repent of sin, yet if individuals do not repent of sin, they are judged when GOD Almighty decides. We learn that Ahab had been killed by a Syrian soldier who struck him with an arrow. We learn that Ahab's descendants were destroyed by Jehu because Ahab had decided to persecute Naboth and his children and also because Ahab's children practiced idol worship seen in Joram and Ahazaiah.
"And Jehu drew his bow with his full strength, and shot Joram between the shoulders, so that the arrow pierced his heart, and he sank in his chariot. Jehu said to Bidkar his aide, 'Take him up and throw him on the plot of ground belonging to Naboth the Jezreelite. For remember, when you and I rode side by side behind Ahab his father, how the LORD made this pronouncement against him: 'As surely as I saw yesterday the blood of Naboth and the blood of his sons-declares the LORD- I will repay you on this plot of ground.' Now therefore take him up and throw him on the plot of ground, in accordance to the word of the LORD.'"- 2 Kings 9: 24-26
Jehu is judgment against Jezebel and the house of Ahab for having killed Naboth, his children, and stolen his garden. This wisdom allows to know that GOD Almighty is Omnipotent and also Just. We know that GOD Almighty is not arbitrary and authoritarian and instead these are projections from evil. We learn that GOD Almighty judges with justice Ahab, Jezebel, and the false prophets. Jehu destroys Jezebel by throwing her off the window and proceeding to issue judgment. GOD Almighty had told Elijah to tell Ahab that the dogs would lick the blood of Ahab for having killed Naboth. We learn that that happens. We learn that Jehu states that he had heard the judgment of GOD Almighty against Ahab's descendants for having killed Naboth and his sons. Jehu obeys GOD Almighty and throws the wicked into Naboth's vineyard fulfilling the words of Elijah. This describes that justice exists. While the snake says that there is no point in obeying the commandments, we learn that there is justice, equity, and equality. The story of Jehu describes that we do not listen to the temporary lies of the snake that wants to lead to perdition seen in Ahab, Jezebel, and the false prophets. Jehu is zealous and destroys Joram and Ahazaiah among the descendants of Ahab and Jezebel. Jehu destroys Jezebel who had practiced wickedness and persecuted the righteous. Jezebel insults Jehu, asks if it was peace seeing the manner that she showed no peace to Naboth and his children, and projects her deficits calling him a murderer being that Jehu was issuing justice and was promoted to king by GOD Almighty. This describes the lack of responsibility and cowardice from Jezebel seeing that her own wickedness destroyed her. We learn that we are to persevere with righteousness and humility in these times without taking vengeance with our own hands. We can understand that instead King Jesus Christ is who takes vengeance for us. We learn that the story of Jehu is a story of justice and that describes why there is the need to obey the commandments of Moses and not believe the temporary lies of evil.
"When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it. And she painted her eyes and adorned her head and looked out the window. And as Jehu entered the gate, she said, 'Is it peace, you Zimri, murderer of your master?'"- 2 Kings 9: 30-31
