Persevering With Wisdom and Fidelity to GOD Almighty
Persevering With Wisdom and Fidelity to GOD Almighty
Episode #170
We learn that Elijah and Jehoshaphat are righteous individuals that worship GOD Almighty above everything. Elijah obeys GOD Almighty and instructs the importance of worshiping GOD Almighty above everything and returns Israel to the true worship of GOD Almighty making fire fall from the skies. Jehoshaphat is able to accept reproof from Jehu and does not help the wicked. We learn that the righteous should not help the wicked. GOD Almighty was able to deliver Jehoshaphat from the deceit and temporary lies of Ahab. We learn that Ahab and Jezebel had negative emotions describing envy and coveting that led them to persecute Elijah, the righteous prophets, and Naboth. We learn that they did not have dominion over their emotions when they falsely accuse Naboth and attempt to steal his vineyard. We learn that GOD Almighty judged Ahab and Jezebel's envy and wickedness.
"A man of quick temper acts foolishly, and a man of evil devices is hated."- Proverbs 14: 17
We learn that we can have dominion over hate, envy, and coveting knowing that we do not have to have resentments and hate because GOD Almighty judges and helps us persevere. We learn that the practice of idol worship is foolishness because there is a lack of wisdom. We learn that instead of Ahab having courage to fight the Syrians for having persecuted Elijah, Ahab seeks help from Jehoshaphat who was righteous. Ahab could have prevented the persecution of Elijah yet let Jezebel lead him to practice foolishness. Ahab does not tell Jehoshaphat that he is sending him to fight his battles and was a coward who feared the Syrians. We are supposed to get rid of negative emotions describing cowardice, envy, hate, and coveting that idol worship attempts to cause in wicked individuals.
We learn that in Hebrew evil actually means folly. This describes that the accuser wants individuals to have negative emotions to lead to envy and coveting and disobedience of the commandments of Moses. We can get rid of negative emotions describing envy, hate, anger, and coveting that led to the destruction of Ahab and Jezebel. We learn that Ahab and Jezebel were wicked, hated everything, could not live with calmness, and yet Elijah was able to persevere with serenity and calmness going to prayer and worshiping GOD Almighty instead.
"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."- Proverbs 14: 34
We learn that Jehoshaphat was able to lead with righteousness and fidelity to GOD Almighty. GOD Almighty allowed Jehoshaphat and the righteous to persevere without conflict and division. Meanwhile, we read about Ahab and Jezebel's sin leading to destruction when GOD Almighty decided to judge the wicked. We learn that obedience to the commandments of Moses allows us to persevere while sin is a reproach meaning individuals do not want to know anything about wickedness and evil. Obeying the commandments of Moses is wisdom and allows us to persevere with calmness and serenity. We learn that the snake wants people to have hate, anger, lack of empathy, envy, and coveting so that they practice foolishness that is sin. We learn that foolishness is the practice of sin. We also do not have to practice lust, fornication, adultery, and homosexuality because that attempts to lead to negative emotions, bitterness, resentments, slothfulness, arrogance, and anger seen in Ahab and Jezebel who allowed the temporary lies of evil to lead them to destruction. Israel also had 3.5 years of drought due to the practice of idol worship and sin. We learn that righteousness allowed Jehoshaphat to lead with goodness and fidelity to GOD Almighty instructing the commandments of Moses when sin and vices led to Ahab and Jezebel's destruction by Jehu who did obey GOD Almighty and removed idol worship. We learn to persevere trusting in GOD Almighty and leaving the vengeance to GOD Almighty while we obey the commandments of Moses.
