David is not hypocritical speaking truth and obeying the commandments of Moses.
"Give me understanding, that I might keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments for I delight in it."- Psalm 119: 34-35
David describes that only in the worship of GOD Almighty are we able to persevere developing understanding and wisdom of the knowledge of the Sacred Scriptures. We only improve when we have fidelity that is sincere to GOD Almighty. We start with loving GOD Almighty above everything with sincerity of heart and then persevere in the path of eternal salvation keeping fidelity to GOD Almighty. Obedience to the commandments of Moses allows us to persevere with integrity and morality that prevents the practice of idol worship and adultery. The worship of GOD Almighty allows us to have a jubilant heart that prevents bitterness and envy from causing disobedience.
"Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain!"- Psalm 119: 36
We learn to persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty by studying the Sacred Scriptures to persist obeying the commandments of Moses. We are able to use our virtues, resources, time, and talents for the worship of GOD Almighty instead of selfishness and arrogance. We learn that when the virtues are used for the practice of sin and idol worship, the virtues decline and there are vices instead. We learn that David improves each day in the worship of GOD Almighty developing wisdom, power, sovereignty, autonomy, valor, authority, and fidelity to GOD Almighty while Balaam and Saul decline in virtues and develop vices that cause destruction to the unrepentant wicked.
David recognizes that he can persevere in the path of eternal salvation developing virtues and removing selfishness, arrogance, and envy from his life. We can persevere in the path of salvation acknowledging that we do not need arrogance, egoism, and selfishness that attempt to lead to other vices including avarice, greed, envy, anger, hate, and coveting to disobey the commandments of Moses. We learn that the vices want individuals to worship idols or themselves that leads to difficulties, stagnation, and destruction when there is no repentance of sin with sincerity of heart. Instead we can understand the wisdom of developing virtues that keep us in the path of eternal salvation developing our talents and additional virtues. We can use our virtues, time, resources, and talents for the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that in the worship of GOD Almighty we have everything that we need and do not need to envy because if we do not have something, it is because we probably do not need it. We also learn that the virtues can keep being developed not only in these times but also for all eternity in Shabbath Millennium and New Jerusalem. This is because we know that GOD Almighty helps us improve and develop virtues for all eternity in the worship of GOD Almighty.
