David Trusts in GOD Almighty Above Everything in Psalm 119

David Trusts in GOD Almighty Above Everything in Psalm 119

Positive Christianity Series Episode #181

David understands wisdom knowing that there is life in obedience to the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart. We learn from the writings of Moses about the importance of worshiping GOD Almighty with all our heart, mind, and being above everything. This wisdom prevents us from practicing idol worship. Obedience to the commandments of Moses allows us to persevere in the path of life with favor and blessings. We learn that GOD Almighty creates us so that we can persist with virtues and have favor that helps us know that GOD Almighty cares about us. We learn that this wisdom prevents the temporary lies of the accuser from leading to idolatry and vices that stagnate and lead individuals to destruction when there is no repentance of sin

"Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and keep your word. Open my eyes, that I may behold wonderous things out of your law."- Psalm 119: 17-18

We learn that obeying the Mosaic law that is the commandments help us persevere without having to practice sin, idol worship, hypocrisy, envy, coveting, adultery, temporary lies, deceit, and vices. When we obey the commandments of Moses, we have favor and blessings. This describes the steadfast filial love of GOD Almighty for the righteous described in having long life, length of days, and living in harmony. We are able to persevere in the path of life with favor and blessings that allow us to know that there is so much good in worshiping GOD Almighty above the tenporary things of the world

"I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me! My soul is consumed with longing for your rules at all times."- Psalm 119: 19-20

David recognizes that he is a sojourner on the earth similar to Abraham, Sarah, and Moses. This wisdom describes that we do not place all our self-worth on the temporary and finite things of the world, and instead we choose to trust in the Infinite and Eternal GOD of gods, GOD Almighty, above everything. This is because GOD Almighty is our everything. We learn to not practice idolatry and not place finite material resources, false 'relationships' that want to lead to idol worship, nor things of the world as the priority. Instead we choose to worship the Creator and LORD of all, GOD Almighty. We learn that when Abraham and Sarah were near a hundred years of age, they decided to trust in GOD Almighty by living in the land that GOD Almighty had given to their eternal descendants not knowing where they were going. Abraham and Sarah trusted GOD Almighty and while being close to a hundred years of age were able to have children and obtain the land of Israel. Abraham and Sarah did not trust the things of the world nor idolatry and instead trusted in GOD Almighty providing for them the manner to persevere.

We learn that Moses was able to free Israel from Egypt and lead in the wilderness. We learn that Moses was a sojourner along with the righteous of Israel in the wilderness until they reached the land of Canaan that became the land of Israel. We learn that Moses and the righteous of Israel kept prospering in the wilderness where there were no resources, no food, no water, no protection from the weather, no light at night, and hostile idolatrous nations. Even amidst all of that, Moses and the righteous of Israel trusted GOD Almighty above everything knowing that GOD Almighty was not going to leave them in the wilderness. Moses and the righteous of Israel were sojourners on the land, yet improved in trusting in GOD Almighty. Moses and the righteous of Israel were able to increase in number in Egypt and in the wilderness. Moses and the righteous of Israel were able to obtain water from a rock, quails for food, bread from heaven, be guarded from the heat by a column of clouds during the day, have light at night with a pillar of fire, and be able to defeat the idolatrous and hostile nations that did not want to let them through the wilderness. While being sojourners in the wilderness, Moses and the righteous of Israel had their basic necessities met and also obtained favor and blessings by obeying the instruction of the commandments of Moses. We know that we are able to persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty because our home is in Heaven. We can persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty so that we can live in New Earth for Shabbath Millennium and for all eternity in the New Heavens in New Jerusalem
