Positive Christianity Series Episode #174
"Towards the scornful he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor."- Proverbs 3: 34
We learn that GOD Almighty is Just and gives favor to individuals who obey the commandments of Moses. We learn that Moses and Joshua along with the righteous of Israel obtained favor for practicing fidelity to GOD Almighty. We learn that there were also the grumblers and scorners who decided to worship the golden calf while Moses was obtaining the wisdom of the commandments written on two tablets of stone. We learn that there were the grumblers and scorners who decided to hate and quarrel unecessarily against Moses and were destroyed by serpents. We can choose to persevere with gratitude and gladness of heart in the worship of GOD Almighty similar to Moses, Joshua, and the righteous of Israel without practicing idolatry and adultery.
We can choose to persevere with humility and zeal that prevents us from believing the temporary lies of the snake that wants individuals to have disbelief, envy, arrogance, slothfulness, quarreling, hate, anger, discouragements, bitterness, and coveting so that they choose to practice idol worship and adultery. We can remove the negative emotions and doubt the temporary lies of the snake when we choose to go to encouraging verses in the Sacred Scriptures that remind us that we are cherished and cared for. We learn that GOD Almighty gives favor to the righteous who decide to persevere with steadfastness and zealous devotion to the worship of GOD Almighty. We can keep increasing our zeal and fidelity to GOD Almighty by choosing to obey the commandments of Moses and speaking truth to the temporary lies of the snake.
"The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is held fast in the cords of his sin. He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is led astray."- Proverbs 5: 22-23
Moses helps us understand that there is wisdom, counsel, insight, knowledge, reproof, correction, and understanding in obedience to the commandments of Moses. We learn that by choosing to love GOD Almighty above everything with sincerity of heart, we can persevere in the path of eternal salvation in the grace of GOD Almighty. We learn that GOD Almighty is a shield and a light to the righteous and allows us to know that we can not be in the path of iniquity, foolishness, sin, and darkness. We learn that we can keep improving with wisdom knowing that we know the times that we are living in and be able to be far apart from the practice of temporary lies, slothfulness, coveting, lust, fornication, adultery, and homosexuality that leads to destruction of the wicked. We learn to accept reproof and correction from Scripture that allows us to know that we can not lack discipline and instead persevere with wisdom, zeal, responsibility, and fidelity to GOD Almighty.
Solomon describes that the practice of sin and vices is a snare and attempts to lead astray to the path of perdition. We learn that the practice of evil is foolishness and that we instead choose to have insight and understanding of the Sacred Scriptures obeying the commandments of Moses. We choose to develop virtues and practice responsibility, integrity, and discipline that prevents the practice of irresponsibility, vices, foolishness, and deceit. We learn that there were righteous individuals that decided to obey the commandments and not practice idol worship and adultery. Moses, Joshua, and the righteous of Israel that did not complain, did not have ingratitude, did not worship the golden calf, and did not practice idol worship and adultery with Balaam, were able to persevere with favor and blessings. We learn that Balaam was not helped by practicing idolatry. We learn that Solomon practiced idolatry and was not helped either. We learn that the righteous that obey the commandments of Moses persevere removing idolatry and adultery from their lives similar to Moses, Joshua, and the righteous of Israel.
