Persevering With Fidelity to GOD Almighty Described in Psalm 119

Positive Christianity Series Episode #178

David instructs the need to persist with steadfastness amidst circumstances and obstacles. The life of David describes how it is possible to persevere practicing righteousness despite temptations and persecutions. David describes the importance of fidelity in the life of a Christian. We learn that we can not practice idol worship because it wants to lead to envy, anger, hate, bitterness, adultery, and destruction for the unrepentant wicked. We learn that GOD Almighty helps us persevere when we decide to worship GOD Almighty above all the temporary things of this life. David describes in Psalm 119 that he wants to persevere with steadfastness meaning having perseverance and resiliency worshiping the GOD of gods, GOD Almighty. This describes the need to prioritize and choose the worship of GOD Almighty above all temporary things of this world.

"Oh that my paths may be steadfast in keeping your statutes! Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments."- Psalm 119: 5-6

David describes that obeying the commandments of Moses allow us to persevere with a shield and light that prevents us from straying to the path of perdition in the practice of sin. David's life describes the importance of denying hypocrisy and persevering speaking truth and obeying the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart. We learn that for this reason King Jesus Christ is similar to David and not to Saul or Solomon. We learn that Psalm 119 is very similar to the Proverbs describing the need to keep obeying the commandments of Moses because the commandments of Moses are life and wisdom. We know that unlike Solomon, the life of David describes that we can not practice idol worship. We can not practice idol worship, not even a single day of our lives

David's life allows us to know the importance of being humble to GOD Almighty making sure we obey the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart and be able to repent of sin if there is sin. By repenting of sin, we do not allow sin to gain a foothold and do not allow sin to become a vice or vices. When we have virtues, the virtues allow us to know that there is nothing good from the practice of vices. Humility prevents arrogance, zeal prevents lukewarmness and disbelief, responsibility prevents irresponsibility, and fidelity prevents the practice of idol worship that is infidelity to the true worship. We learn to persevere with sincerity of heart, humility, responsibility, zeal, and fidelity to GOD Almighty. By worshiping GOD Almighty above everything, we are able to obtain favor and blessings

We learn that in the worship of GOD Almighty there is favor and blessings. We learn from the Psalms and Proverbs that there is long life, length of days, serenity, and honor in the true worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that GOD Almighty did not forsake David despite the adversities that he had due to the envy of evil. We learn that while there may be envy because we are able to keep persevering with fidelity to GOD Almighty accomplishing great things preaching and writing for the worship of GOD Almighty, we are able to persist with resiliency and gratitude. We learn that we can not believe the discouragements of the snake that hates righteous individuals that persevere without ingratitude and bitterness, who deny temptation, and are grateful and rejoice amidst the circumstances and times. We learn that David obtained favor and blessings despite persecution, and was able to describe how we can have gratitude and a jubilant heart despite the circumstances, opposition, and times because we choose to have fidelity to GOD Almighty. David kept obeying the commandments of Moses out of fidelity and filial love to GOD Almighty, and David persevered despite everything. We can learn to keep the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart and avoid the practice of idol worship, adultery, temporary lies, and vices that do not help anyone

"I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules. I will keep your statutes; do not utterly forsake me."- Psalm 119: 7-8
