David Describes the Favor and Blessings Obtained in the Worship of GOD Almighty in Psalm 119

David describes the gladness and delight that he is able to maintain in the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn from the Sacred Scriptures that we are created for the worship of GOD Almighty. We have eternal significance and purpose in the worship of GOD Almighty that helps us persevere with a jubilant heart instead of envy, resentments, bitterness, and coveting in the practice of idol worship. We learn that only the worship of GOD Almighty suffices. This wisdom prevents us from believing the temporary lies of sin that wants to cause negative emotions instead of happiness and gladness. We learn that the snake attempts to lead to ingratitude, envy, bitterness, anger, hate, and coveting so that there is disobedience to the commandments of Moses.
We learn that the practice of idol worship and self-worship that is idolatry leads to negative emotions and envy. We learn that the snake wants individuals to be far apart from the worship of GOD Almighty so that individuals do not have true joy, gratitude, happiness, and virtues. We learn that David acknowledges that we can persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty instead of believing the temporary lies of the snake.
"For I find my delight in your commandments, which I love."- Psalm 119: 47
David recognizes that loving GOD Almighty above everything and obeying the commandments of Moses allows him to persevere with a jubilant heart instead of bitterness and envy. David has gratitude to GOD Almighty because he is able to persevere amidst everything with the steadfast devotion to GOD Almighty. David perseveres with happiness and rejoicing. While the things of the world promise "happiness", they attempt to lead to bitterness and anger in the worship of idolatry. David helps us know that we can persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty that helps us persist in the path of eternal salvation with true joy instead of envy.
"This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life."- Psalm 119: 50
David acknowledges that obeying the commandments of Moses allows him to persist in the path of life consistent with the favor and blessings spoken in the writings of Moses. Even when there may be persecution, revilings, and tribulation because of the envy of evil, GOD Almighty does not forsake the righteous faithful. We know that GOD Almighty was eternally faithful to the promises given to Abraham and Sarah, Moses, and David. We learn that GOD Almighty was faithful to Abraham and Sarah allowing them to have eternal descendants, the land of Israel, and renovation of youth amidst being more than a hundred years of age. We learn that GOD Almighty was faithful to Moses allowing Moses to free Israel from Egypt with marvellous signs and wonders, lead in the desert providing water and food, and defeat five idolatrous and hostile nations. We learn that GOD Almighty was faithful to David being able to guard him from the envy of the snake, allow him to improve in virtues and integrity amidst persecution, and lead to times of prosperity in Israel because of the worship of GOD Almighty and obedience to the commandments of Moses. We learn to persevere even amidst adversity because we know that the worship of GOD Almighty is greater than everything. We learn to be grateful for the favor and blessings that we obtain in the worship of GOD Almighty describing salvation, eternal salvation, rejoicing, and perseverance.
