David Perseveres Practicing Fidelity to GOD Almighty With Favor and Blessings

David Perseveres Practicing Fidelity to GOD Almighty With Favor and Blessings Described in Psalm 119

Positive Christianity Series Episode #187

"For the LORD your GOD is GOD of gods and LORD of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome GOD, who is not partial and takes no bribe."- Deuteronomy 10: 17

We learn from the story of David that David was persecuted for being righteous. We learn that because David destroyed Goliath, Saul became envious of David. We learn that David did not merit the envy and did nothing wrong. We learn that instead it was Saul who had envy because of David's valor and courage to fight against Goliath. David acknowledges that he had done no wrong and was being persecuted without reason. We learn that despite the persecution, David trusted in GOD Almighty and persisted having confidence in the LORD of lords and GOD of gods. Even amidst persecution, David increased in virtues and kept defeating the enemies of Israel. We learn that Saul would send David to fight against the Philistines hoping that the Philistines would destroy David, and instead David would return safely back to Israel after destroying Philistines. This describes how GOD Almighty is salvation and helps us persevere amidst persecution, envy, and opposition.

David is able to trust in GOD Almighty and perseveres. Even when Saul attempted to use his own daughter to control David, David kept improving. David did not trust in Saul's daughter and instead trusted in GOD Almighty. We learn to trust in GOD Almighty above everything including temporary wealth, false "relationships" that want to lead to idol worship, and idol worship. We learn that David went to prayer and trusted in GOD Almighty instead of trusting Saul's daughter. This was because there was skepticism concerning how Saul could have attempted to use his daughter to cause difficulties for David. Instead GOD Almighty uses all things for good and delivers David from the attacks, plots, and envy of Saul. While Saul had connections and material wealth, we know that he had turned idolatrous and envious. We learn that GOD Almighty is impartial and just and does not forsake the righteous faithful even amidst temptation and persecution.

"Let your steadfast love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise; then shall I have an answer for him who taunts me, for I trust in your word."- Psalm 119: 41-42

To the human brain, there is the questioning of how is David going to persevere when Saul has more individuals and more resources while Saul was persecuting and envying David? We would question how David is able to persevere when there was envy from Saul? We learn that the worship of GOD Almighty helps us persist despite the adversities, obstacles, and circumstances that we may be going through. We learn that David did not distrust GOD Almighty and instead did not believe the temporary lies of the snake, idolatry, and negative emotions. David knows that he does not merit the revilings and persecution of Saul, and trusts in GOD Almighty above everything. David perseveres loving GOD Almighty above everything and obeying the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart

"And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your rules."- Psalm 119: 43

We know from the writings of Moses that loving GOD Almighty above everything allows us to persevere with salvation, favor, blessings, health, renovation of youth, authority, and most important of all, fidelity, to GOD Almighty. David understands that only GOD Almighty is salvation. Even while being persecuted for righteousness' sake, David does not practice idol worship, and instead perseveres with fidelity. David perseveres speaking truth and wants nothing to do with temporary lies and idol worship. David has motivation and hope knowing that GOD Almighty is his salvation
