Persevering in the Path of Salvation in Psalm 119
Positive Christianity Series Episode #194
We learn from the Sacred Scriptures that the path of eternal salvation is in obeying the commandments of Moses and confessing King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior. We learn that there are only two paths in life. The path of eternal salvation in the worship of GOD Almighty and the path of destruction in the practice of sin, idol worship, temporary lies, envy, and vices. We learn that we can persevere in the path of eternal salvation studying the Sacred Scriptures with the intention to persist worshiping GOD Almighty above everything. GOD Almighty sees the intention of the heart and mind and helps us prosper in the worship of GOD Almighty.
"When I think on my paths, I turn my feet to your testimonies."- Psalm 119: 59
David recognizes that the path of eternal salvation is in the worship of GOD Almighty. This wisdom prevents the practice of idolatry. The commandments of Moses and the Sacred Scriptures allow us to improve with virtues including wisdom and fidelity. We can remind ourselves of the eternal truth in the Sacred Scriptures that speak about how we persevere in the path of eternal salvation to make it to Shabbath Millennium and New Jerusalem. GOD Almighty did not forsake David despite the opposition, circumstances, and persecution that he went through for being righteous and loyal to GOD Almighty. We learn that instead David used the difficulties to improve with integrity and knows the things that he is not allowed to practice when he is king and has authority.
"I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments."- Psalm 119: 60
David helps us see the positive of life knowing that there is eternal salvation in the worship of GOD Almighty. David has zeal for the worship of GOD Almighty that prevents lukewarmness and slothfulness. We learn that our faith must increase to zealous confidence in GOD Almighty. This allows us to trust in GOD Almighty above everything. David's zeal helps us know that it is possible to persist with righteousness, integrity, ethics, and goodness in the path of eternal salvation without practicing sin and idol worship. David is steadfast and zealous for the worship of GOD Almighty. We are able to learn about the favor and blessings that exist in the worship of GOD Almighty from the story of David.
Persevering with zeal prevents us from believing the temporary lies, deception, and the falsehoods of the snake that attempt to discourage from the true faith. We learn from the beginning of the story of Job how the accuser hated Job because he was prospering with great favor and blessings. Job was known as the individual with greatest abundance and prosperity in his region. This obviously caused envy from the accuser, and we learn that the accuser hated Job for worshiping GOD Almighty, prospering, and being zealous. David prospered with great favor and blessings that caused the envy of the accuser, yet GOD Almighty did not forsake David similar to how GOD Almighty did not forsake Job. Zeal and humility allows us to persevere in the path of eternal salvation keeping fidelity to the GOD of gods, GOD Almighty.
