Job Perseveres Trusting in GOD Almighty and Doubts His Friends

Job Perseveres Trusting in GOD Almighty and Doubts His Friends

Positive Christianity Series Episode #202

Job understands that he has not commited iniquity and yet there is adversity. While Job does not know everything that is happening, Job trusts in GOD Almighty. Job decides to persevere with fidelity instead of distrusting GOD Almighty. Job distrusts his supposed friends, resources, and practicing idolatry, but does not distrust GOD Almighty. Job's fidelity to GOD Almighty allows him to be strengthened despite the discouragements and doubts from his friends. Instead of being discouraged by his friend's doubting of Job's righteousness, Job trusts the GOD of gods. We learn to trust in GOD Almighty instead of the temporary things of the world describing material resources and false "friends" of convenience. We learn that trusting in GOD Almighty above everything helps us persevere with persistance and strength that prevents from believing discouragements and from believing temporary lies of the snake.

"If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and let not injustice dwell in your tents. Surely then you will lift up your face without blemish; you will be secure and not fear."- Job 11: 14-15

Zophar, another of Job's friends, tells Job that if there is sin, there is the need to repent. Zophar also like Eliphaz also doubts Job's righteousness and innocence. Instead of being discouraged, Job worships GOD Almighty and perseveres with zeal. We learn that Job's friends describe that if Job repents of his sin, he would no longer have difficulties. We learn that the adversity was not because of Job's wickedness but because of the envy of the accuser. We learn that the accuser wanted to destroy Job without reason, yet GOD Almighty guards Job because of his fidelity. We learn that GOD Almighty is Just and does not forsake Job. We learn that Job is wiser and perseveres being able to acknowledge that the worship of GOD Almighty allows him to persist amidst adversity.

"If He witholds the waters, they dry up; if He sends them out, they overwhelm the land. With Him is strength and sound wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are His."- Job 12: 15-16

Job answers Zophar by speaking wisdom. While his friends question Job's integrity, Job answers by worshing GOD Almighty and describing how GOD Almighty is LORD and Creator of all. GOD Almighty can cause the clouds to not give rain due to the iniquity of the inhabitants and also cause floods seen in the story of Noah. GOD Almighty is infinite and eternal strength and wisdom among other qualities that the human mind can not understand. Only GOD Almighty is the source of virtues. GOD Almighty judges the wicked and is able to destroy unrepentant sinners. We learn that Job is able to persevere with humility and fidelity to GOD Almighty and does not get discouraged by the doubting of Job.

Job answers with sound wisdom allowing us to understand that it is possible to persevere with zeal and humility amidst adversity, times of difficulty, and persecution. We learn that while Job did not know everything, Job trusted in GOD Almighty who does know everything for all time and all eternity. We learn that GOD Almighty is Omnipotent, Just, Righteous, and Grace. We learn that Job perseveres with salvation while evildoers are destroyed. Job never practices idol worship having true sound wisdom.
