Denying Temptations (Fortune/Wealth)

 Denying Temptations (Fortune/Wealth)

Positive Christianity Series Episode #215

GOD Almighty describes that we can persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty and obtain our basic necessities. We are also able to persevere with health, virtues, favor, and eternal salvation. We learn that we can have gratitude to GOD Almighty instead of having ingratitude, coveting, and envy. We learn that the snake wants to cause discouragements and doubts in an individual's faith so that individuals believe that the practice of idol worship helps. We learn that having gratitude and motivation allows us to ignore and remove the temporary lies of the snake that want to separate from the favor and blessings of GOD Almighty.

"Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold."- Proverbs 3: 13-14

GOD Almighty helps us know that we can be grateful for the things we have and not practice ingratitude and greed. We learn that the Proverbs describe how worshiping GOD Almighty above everything and obeying the commands of Moses allows us to persevere through everything with favor and blessings. The favor and blessings of GOD Almighty are greater and better than silver and gold. This is because we have virtues that can not be quantified, enumerated, or described because they can keep improving and increasing in Shabbath Millennium and New Jerusalem. We have salvation from King Jesus Christ that allows us to have motivation and encouragement amidst the times that we live in that are not the best of times. We learn that we can persevere speaking truth and not hearing and much less believing the temporary lies of the snake.

We learn that the snake attempts to tempt with money or silver/gold seen in the story of Balaam. Balaam decided to forsake the worship of GOD Almighty in order to practice idolatry. Balaam decided to help Balaak of Moab tempt Israel and obtain temporary monetary wealth rather than deny temptation. This foolishness led to the destruction of Balaam. We learn that the temptation of silver and gold led to the destruction of Balaam. We learn that Balaam could have denied the temptation of money and temporary monetary wealth, yet decided for idolatry.

In the modern times, there is the story of an individual that decided to practice idolatry and prioritized temporary wealth and was destroyed. We learn that the love of money is idolatry. The story of Howard Hughes describes that idolatry leads to destruction. Howard Hughes was a producer of crime propaganda films in the 1950s and the 1960s. The films were produced with the intention to lead to the practice of sin and idolatry. Howard Hughes described the importance of prioritizing money, "power", and coveting in his films. Howard Hughes had significant wealth that he utilized for making crime propaganda in order to tempt to the lifestyle of sin and envy. We know that practicing sin, stealing, and murder does not help anyone seen in the life of wicked individuals including Pablo Escobar and Al Capone. We learn that while crime propaganda seen in films attempts to describe how money, the illusion of "power", and coveting can help an individual, we learn that this is deception that tries to lead to the destruction of the individual. We learn that the temporary wealth, illusion of "power", and false "relationships" are based on idolatry and do not help in the long term. This is because GOD Almighty judges wickedness. Howard Hughes made a large number of films describing the "supposed" good things of practicing idolatry while not describing the difficulties and destruction it leads to wicked individuals. Howard Hughes used his wealth to work for evil and practiced idol worship. Howard Hughes would develop a disease and die at a young age not reaching his 50s. We learn that we are not supposed to use our virtues and resources for evil and instead are supposed to worship GOD Almighty. This wisdom prevents us from being in the road of perdition and persevere prioritizing the worship of GOD Almighty. We can have gratitude for persevering with the things we need without having ingratitude and without coveting. We learn that we can be grateful for our virtues, health, salvation, and favor in the worship of King Jesus Christ.

"Better is a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble with it."- Proverbs 15: 16
