No Adultery

 No Adultery

Positive Christianity Series Episode #218

GOD Almighty tells us in the commandments instructed to Moses on the need to not partake in lust nor idolatry. We learn that lust wants to lead to fornication, adultery, and homosexuality. We need to persevere without practicing lust and instead have dominion over lust and negative emotions, worship GOD Almighty, and obey the commandments of Moses. We learn that it is possible to persevere in the path of eternal salvation not practicing lust and instead having dominion over lust. We learn that David was able to persevere having dominion over lust when persecuted by Saul. David persevered practicing chastity and was delivered from the envy of Saul. We learn that Paul also did not practice lust having dominion over lust and preaching King Jesus Christ to the nations.

"The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the LORD, and the LORD for the body. And GOD raised the LORD and will also raise us up by his power."- 1 Corinthians 6: 13-14

We learn that we are created for the worship of GOD Almighty and not to practice idol worship. We can persevere in the path of eternal salvation practicing fidelity to GOD Almighty and avoiding idolatry and adultery. We know that sex is only allowed in a marriage between a man and a woman and not allowed outside of the marriage. This is because marriage is for the procreation of righteous children. We learn that sex outside of the marriage is considered fornication. We learn that idol worship instructs the need to practice lust and adultery so that individuals are led to grave sin including homosexuality and coveting. We learn that we can persevere without practicing lust and adultery and instead practice fidelity to GOD Almighty. We learn from GOD Almighty that the body is meant for the worship of GOD Almighty and to persevere with righteousness and fidelity. We are not created to practice lust, fornication, adultery, nor homosexuality.

We learn that we have eternal salvation in King Jesus Christ and can persevere in the path of eternal salvation without practicing adultery and idolatry. We can deny temptation and persevere amidst persecution knowing that there is nothing in this world that compares to GOD Almighty. While there may be lies stated in these times that "lust is normal", we learn that we can have dominion over lust and avoid fornication and adultery. This wisdom helps us know that GOD Almighty allows us to deny temptation and keep persevering confessing King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior.

"Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her?"- 1 Corinthians 6: 15-16

We learn that the term prostitute has been changed in modern times to mean an insult to prevent individuals from learning about the historical context related to idolatry. The term prostitute meant an individual that practiced idol worship and adultery in the pagan idol temples. This was irrespective of gender and was with the intention to practice idolatry. We learn that there were male and female prostitutes that worshiped idols and practiced adultery. We learn that we can not partake with adultery because it wants to lead to idol worship and grave sin. We learn that Paul was followed by an adultress when preaching, and tempted to practice adultery. Paul denied the temptations each and every time and wrote about this in his letters. Paul not only spoke truth and also lived in a manner that denied temptation. Paul instructs us that we can not partake with idol worship. Paul instructs us that the pagan idol temples were where adultery and idol worship were practiced. This is so that we are far apart from the practice of sin and idol worship. We learn that if we belong to King Jesus Christ then we can not practice fornication, adultery, and homosexuality. Paul helps us know that we can not partake with darkness being of the light. Righteousness can not partake with wickedness, good can not partake with evil, and fidelity to GOD Almighty can not partake with infidelity.
