Denying Temptations (False "Friends" of Convenience)
Denying Temptations (False "Friends" of Convenience)
Positive Christianity Series Episode #237
GOD Almighty instructs in the Sacred Scriptures the need to avoid idolators, adulterors, adultresses, false apostles, and unrepentant sinners who want to lead others to sin. The Proverbs describe the need to be far apart from the wicked because they want to lead to the practice of sin, and they are not loyal nor helpful. We learn that we can persevere without false "friends" of convenience that may be frienemies.
"The righteous chooses his friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray."- Proverbs 12: 26
We can choose to avoid negative narcissists and idolators who want to lead others to false doctrines of hate and lust. We should avoid negative doctrines that preach hate and envy seen in marxist-feminism, socialism, communism, MGTOW, nihilism, atheism, and racism. Instead of learning about hate and envy, we can choose to have genuine empathy for humanity and also healthy skepticism to avoid negative narcissists. We instead choose to accept reproof from Scripture that tells us to avoid temporary lies and false prophets.
"The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, that one may turn away from the snares of death."- Proverbs 13: 14
The life of Ernest Hemingway instructs us on the need to avoid nihilism and false friends of convenience who envy and hate others. Ernest Hemingway was a writer in the 1940s who left America for Europe in protest to the Second World War. Hemingway along with other similar individuals believed in nihilism. They called themselves the no future generation because they did not believe in the importance of faith and having meaning and purpose. Ernest Hemingway did not believe in the need to fight against racism seen in the Second World War and instead decided to live in Europe enjoying a hedonistic life.
Ernest Hemingway wrote the Sun Also Rises that describes the nihilistic generation who decided to live in Europe going to bars, drinking alcohol, and being in polyamorist adulterous relationships. Instead of being responsible, they decided to embrace a life of hedonism and irresponsibility. In the Sun Also Rises, Hemingway described how polyamorist relationships actually lead to resentments, envy, anger, and hate instead of harmony and serenity. Hemingway described the envy and coveting that exists in polyamorous relationships seen in different individual's reactions to Brett Ashley having different friends and relationships. The book centers on Brett Ashley and how different "friends" envied each other and fought for the affection of Brett Ashley. Brett Ashley was a fictious character yet could have described an actual feminist adultress. At the conclusion of the story, two individuals fight over Brett Ashley's affection while Brett Ashley has acquired new relationships. We learn that marxist-feminists triangulate and like to cause envy and negative emotions. Brett Ashley could have been based on a real-life friend that was a marxist-feminist. Ernest Hemingway would take his own life and describes why nihilism is not a good doctrine and why we should avoid false friends of convenience
