GOD Almighty reminds us that we need to persevere far apart from negative people and wicked idolators. We learn from the Scriptures that we are supposed to avoid wicked idolators who want to lead to the practice of sin and idol worship. We learn that there are individuals that have decided to be far apart from idolators and adulterors and were able to persevere to eternal salvation. We learn that we prioritize the worship of GOD Almighty and deny the temptations of the snake that want to lead to idol worship and adultery based on temporary lies.
"In the path of the righteous is life, and in its path there is no death."- Proverbs 12: 28
There are individuals in the Sacred Scriptures that avoided the practice of sin and idolatry and did not partake with idolators. We learn that despite Lot and Noah living in difficult times where there was grave sin being commited, Noah and Lot decided to worship GOD Almighty instead. Noah and Lot did not partake in sin nor idolatry and obtained salvation. Noah and Lot did not want to know what the wicked were doing and instead kept worshiping GOD Almighty above everything. Noah and Lot prospered and obtained salvation despite living in times of difficulty because of the grave sin being practiced by idolators.
"Whoever despises the instruction brings destruction upon himself, but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded."- Proverbs 13: 13
We learn from the story of Jim Morrison that he became famous and was the lead singer and song writer of the rock band, the Doors. We learn that the Doors was the most famous band of the 1970s. The fame caused Jim Morrison to start practicing idol worship. Jim Morrison was young, lead singer, song writer, and famous. This would lead Jim Morrison to have negative friends. Jim Morrison began to practice idol worship and sorcery with adultresses that were witches. The fame led Jim Morrison towards idolatry and the road of perdition. Jim Morrison probably also began to use illicit drugs along with idolatry and adultery. This led to difficulties and at the young age of 27, Jim Morrison died of a drug overdose.
We are reminded to avoid idolators and adultresses because of the times that we are living in. We can choose to be far apart from idolators and adultresses who want to lead others to the practice of idol worship and adultery. We can also deny the temptations that want to lead farther from GOD Almighty seen in fame, temporary wealth, and false "friends" of convenience. We choose to worship GOD Almighty over the temporary things of the world. We learn that the practice of idol worship did not help Jim Morrison and instead may have led to significant difficulties. We can persevere obeying the commandments of Moses and being far apart from idolators and adultresses who want to lead to idol worship and sin.
