Denying Temptations (Fame)

 Denying Temptations (Fame)

Positive Christianity Series Episode #247

GOD Almighty allows us to persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty knowing that we do not need to prioritize the temporary things of the world. We learn that righteous and faithful individuals have chosen to persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty and never gave in to the temptations of fame, fortune, and iniquity. We learn that the snake tries to place crumbs in order to tempt individuals to practice idol worship, yet we know that we do not believe the temporary lies of the snake.

"Train up a child in the path he should go; when he is old he will not depart from it."- Proverbs 22: 6

The Sacred Scriptures speak about the importance of worshiping GOD Almighty and accepting correction and reproof. We do not need to practice idol worship that tries to lead to envy, resentments, bitterness, and coveting. We learn that we can remove anything that does not help us persevere in the worship of GOD Almighty. We learn that righteous individuals in the 1960s preferred the worship of GOD Almighty over idols and rock and roll.

We learn from the story of the Beatles and George Harrison that idolatry does not help anyone. We learn that the Beatles made rock and roll music in the 1960s and obtained fame. The Beatles were the rock band of the 1960s. The fame led the Beatles to obtain popularity around the world. Instead of using the fame for the worship of GOD Almighty, they were idolized.

We know that the Beatles were famous and popular and one of their members would say that they were "greater than Christianity". As soon as fans learned about their statement, many individuals around the world began to throw away and burn their albums, posters, books, and items. We learn that there were individuals that preferred the worship of King Jesus Christ to the idolatry of the Beatles and rock and roll. The Beatles would decrease from making good music to experimental psychedelic music that was not very good. George Harrison would be a solo artist after the Beatles would split. George Harrison made idolatrous music for the worship of idols with the intention to lead to idolatry. George Harrison would die of disease at a relatively young age in his fortys.

"No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel can avail against the LORD."- Proverbs 21: 30
