 Persevering With Fidelity to GOD Almighty in Psalm 91

GOD Almighty helps us persevere amidst difficult times because we choose to keep unchanging fidelity to GOD Almighty above everything. Even when there is persecution, we can persist in the eternal refuge and sanctuary that is GOD Almighty. We can remind ourselves of stories in Scripture of individuals that placed their trust in GOD Almighty and were not disappointed.

"For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence."- Psalm 91: 3

David acknowledged in Psalm 91 that GOD Almighty has the power to deliver from envy, hate, and persecution. We learn that David was delivered from the envy of Saul for trusting in GOD Almighty. We learn that Moses was also delivered from the envy of Korah's rebellion for trusting in GOD Almighty. We learn that those who practice idol worship and sin are destroyed by GOD Almighty, and the righteous are delivered from the plague. We learn that the wicked that were leftover from Korah's rebellion were destroyed by the plague and also those who worshiped the golden calf were destroyed by the deadly pestilence.

"He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler."- Psalm 91: 4

The righteous of Israel were guarded by GOD Almighty in the desert when they were traveling to the land of Canaan that became the land of Israel. The righteous had everything that they needed including being delivered from idolatrous hostile nations. When we decide to make GOD Almighty our everything, we have absolutely everything that we will ever need. The righteous of Israel did not lack anything in the desert including being guarded from the plague that devastated the wicked idolatrous. 

David described the faithfulness of GOD Almighty being a shield and buckler that guards us from the attacks of the accuser. Not only are we guarded in the pinions of GOD Almighty, but GOD Almighty is eternally faithful and destroys the attacks of the enemy. We learn that GOD Almighty turns everything to good and uses what evil means for harm into good. We learn that we do not need negative emotions because we have confidence in the worship GOD Almighty. We can persevere with unchanging fidelity to GOD Almighty knowing that GOD Almighty does not forsake us and is very aware of our lives.
