Accepting Correction and Reproof
Accepting Correction and Reproof
Positive Christianity Series Episode #277
King Jesus Christ tells us in Matthew 7: 24-27 about the need to listen to instruction and obey the commandments of Moses. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the LORD. Obeying the commandments of Moses allows us to obtain wisdom. The righteous individuals who obey GOD Almighty are wise and choose to remove foolishness from their lives. We learn that wisdom allows us to make sound decisions that prevent us from practicing idol worship and foolishness.
"And now, O sons, listen to me: blessed are those who keep my paths. Hear instruction and be wise, and do not neglect it."- Proverbs 8: 32-33
We learn that we obtain favor and blessings along with wisdom and virtues in the worship of GOD Almighty. The favor and blessings that we receive in the worship of GOD Almighty include long life, length of days, and serenity. We can persevere with sound wisdom and fidelity to GOD Almighty choosing to practice righteousness instead of wickedness and folly.
"For whoever finds [wisdom] me finds life and obtains favor from the LORD, but he who fails to find me injures himself; all who hate me love death."- Proverbs 8: 35-36
The fear of the LORD allows us to persevere in the path of eternal salvation obeying the commandments of Moses. We learn that GOD Almighty instructs us sound wisdom that is infinite and eternal in the Sacred Scriptures. Individuals that choose to obey GOD Almighty and accept correction are in the path of life. Those who choose to disobey GOD Almighty and rebel obtain vices and are in the road of destruction. This describes why we must avoid idolators and impostors who are foolish and want to instruct idol worship and foolishness to others.
Those who love death practice foolishness and idol worship. Foolishness is the practice of sin. Idolatry wants to lead to envy, coveting, telling temporary lies, adultery, and homosexuality. The wicked and foolish hate wisdom and do not obey the commandments of Moses. We can instead choose to persevere with virtues and fidelity instead of vices and foolishness. We learn we do not need foolishness, idol worship, false friends, envy, coveting, deceit, adultery, homosexuality, wickedness, and hypocrisy that can be described as socialism. We prefer the worship of GOD Almighty and persevere with wisdom and unchanging fidelity.
