Avoiding Temptation (Fame)
Avoiding Temptation (Fame)
Positive Christianity Series Episode #307
GOD Almighty instructs us to persist with integrity keeping the commandments of Moses and loving GOD Almighty above the temporary and imperfect things of this world. We learn that fame, temporary wealth, and fake "relationships" do not provide lasting happiness and may even attempt to lead far away from the worship of GOD Almighty. The temptations are snares of the world that try to make individuals think that idol worship can lead to better things and greater happiness while actually leading to bitterness and envy. For this reason, we do not believe the temporary lies of temptation because they do not provide lasting happiness and only seek to lead far from the worship of the GOD of gods.
"Let not steadfast love and fidelity forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart."- Proverbs 3: 3
We are supposed to keep fidelity to GOD Almighty over everything, and have the commandments of Moses in our heart and mind. There are righteous individuals who have persevered with integrity including Rachel Carson, Helen Keller, Susan B. Anthony, Amelia Earhart, Anne Sullivan, Mother Theresa of Calcutta, Edith Stein, Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, and Margaret Thatcher. We learn that there were also wicked women who decided to practice sin and idolatry. The wicked women were destroyed. We learn that not all women are evil and also that not all women are righteous despite the lies told by false philosophies including MGTOW and marxist-feminism.
"Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil."- Proverbs 3: 7
The story of Janis Joplin describes the manner that fame and sin can lead far from the worship of GOD Almighty. Janis Joplin was from a quiet town in Texas, yet decided that she preferred sin. Joplin did have an amazing voice, yet used it for idolatry and rock and roll. Joplin would become famous for her voice and led a chaotic life. The fame from her singing rock and roll led her to practice adultery and illicit drug use seen in the rock and roll lifestyle. This was noted when Joplin was asked by an individual how her vacation had went after visiting such and such city. Joplin responded annoyed saying that it was the same as everywhere else with a lot of fornication. Joplin bacame bitter despite the fame and lust. Joplin had changed bands and was about to release a new record with another band when she died of a supposed drug overdose. (It is unknown if she did overdose or if she was hated and envied by other individuals.) Janis Joplin died at a young age being only 27 years old.
Despite being talented and having one of the best vocals of rock and roll, she began to use illicit drugs such as heroine. It is possible that Joplin died from a drug overdose being that she did begin to use illicit drugs after obtaining fame and being surrounded by socialists. The rock and roll lifestyle advocates for drug use and alcoholism and ridicules the sober lifestyle. (Rock and roll is said to be pro-individualism but looks down on sobriety and discipline. There is a glaring and faulty discrepancy there.) Joplin could have also been envied by other musicians since she was rising to the top of the rock and roll charts. Her new album was almost completed when she supposedly overdosed. After being released, the album went to the top at that time. There could have been envy from previous relationships or obsessive fans. Socialists do tend to envy. Fame is not needed because it can lead to arrogance, having obsessive fans, self-worship, illicit drug use, and idolatry. We learn that the worship of GOD Almighty is greater than fame, false relationships, and temporary wealth.
Learning Hebrew
Tai, חי, means life. We learn that accepting correction and reproof allows us to persist in the path of life. While there are temptations, King Jesus Christ guards us from the practice of sin and idol worship. King Jesus Christ helps us persevere with eternal salvation and keeps us in the path of life. King Jesus Christ is the eternal truth, eternal path of eternal salvation, and is eternal life. We can choose to love GOD Almighty above the temporary things of the imperfect world. We can have gratitude and motivation being far apart from fake relationships who want to lead to lust, envy, self-worship, idol worship, coveting, and foolishness.
