Persevering With Unchanging Fidelity to GOD Almighty Described in Psalm 34
Persevering With Unchanging Fidelity to GOD Almighty Described in Psalm 34
Positive Christianity Series Episode #330
David described how GOD Almighty listens to our prayers and helps us persevere despite setbacks and adversity. David went through much adversity for being loyal to GOD Almighty yet was never forsaken by GOD Almighty (Psalm 91: 1). David was delivered from the envy of the snake seen in the persecution by Saul against David. David understood that he was envied by Saul and made sure to keep fidelity to GOD Almighty. David prayed and sang worship songs to GOD Almighty despite envy and gangstalking. David seemed to be all alone, yet David was guarded by GOD Almighty. Despite being envied, David made GOD Almighty his everything. David not only survived, but actually thrived and improved (Psalm 91: 2).
"When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles."- Psalm 34: 17
When there is persecution and opposition, we can keep in mind that GOD Almighty delivers us from destruction and evil. We can see the positive and understand that GOD Almighty is protecting us from the attacks of the accuser and also from evil. Even amidst persecution, David improved. David removed negative emotions, sin, envy, resentments, and got rid of imperfections (Psalm 37: 8-9). We know that GOD Almighty tests the minds and hearts of individuals and allows individuals to be refined and purified despite persecution and adversity. Faithful and righteous individuals are refined like the choicest gold and silver meaning the dross is removed. David improved amidst persecution and even developed virtues including might, wisdom, bravery, empathy, power, humility, and fidelity. David kept a positive mindset that allowed him to know that GOD Almighty makes justice and destroys the wicked. We learn that GOD Almighty destroyed Saul for deciding to keep persecuting David. Saul was scattered and destroyed along with Abner, Doeg, and the 3,000 soldiers for opposing David. Meanwhile, David was guarded from Saul in the land of Philistia and it was Saul who did not make it and was destroyed for his wickedness. Saul even went crazy, consulted a medium, and was destroyed. Despite adversity, David improved.
"The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."- Psalm 34: 18
David thrived and persevered despite being envied by Saul for having destroyed the giant that not even Saul wanted to fight. We know that while it does not make sense that there is envy for being righteous, industrious, positive, and good, GOD Almighty makes justice and takes the vengeance against the wicked who persecute without logic or reason. GOD Almighty did not forsake Abiathar either when he was being persecuted by Saul for helping David. Abiathar survived persecution when righteous priests were murdered by Saul. (The righteous faithful obtained eternal salvation and went to Heaven. The faithful priests were spared from living in the time's of Saul's envy.) The righteous priests denied helping Saul, and righteous individuals refused to strike down the righteous priests. Individuals deserted Saul and went to live in Philistia with David. Abiathar refused to help Saul and also chose to help David.
Despite persecution, Abiathar never renounced his faith in the Almighty and persisted worshiping GOD Almighty. Abiathar prayed to GOD Almighty and persevered. GOD Almighty does not forsake the righteous faithful. GOD Almighty did not forsake David. GOD Almighty did not forsake Abiathar. GOD Almighty does not forsake the faithful who place their trust in GOD Almighty. Abiathar never renounced his faith in GOD Almighty and was able to prosper. Abiathar along with David and the individuals that deserted Saul obtained favor and blessings when David was King of Israel, and Saul was no longer among the living. GOD Almighty delivered David and Abiathar from Saul's envy. Instead, it was Saul who destroyed himself for listening to the temporary lies of the snake and not removing the envy and resentments. David and Abiathar prospered and taught Israel the worship of GOD Almighty. Israel abounded unlike any time in the past during the times of David due to David's unchanging fidelity to GOD Almighty.
"GOD shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered; and those who hate him shall flee before him."- Psalm 68: 1
Learning Hebrew
Dereq, דרכ, means path in Hebrew. We learn that Scripture tells us that there are only two paths in life. The path of eternal salvation in accepting and confessing King Jesus Christ Eternal LORD and Savior, and the path of destruction where the wicked practice sin, idol worship, and have envy. We learn that while the snake lies and tries to say, "There are multiple different paths and not only two paths." It is to deceive into making people believe that false doctrines and false religions can be a helpful alternative. Instead the truth is that there are only two paths. Only King Jesus Christ helps us persevere in the path of righteousness with eternal salvation. We do not need idol worship nor self-righteousness that occurs in the practice of wickedness and foolishness. The practice of sin and idolatry tends to lead to self-righteousness instead of true righteousness. This is because idol worship does not instruct integrity and instead instructs foolishness, lies, and negative emotions. We can avoid the path of destruction while keeping fidelity to King Jesus Christ. We can repent of sin and persevere obeying the commandments of Moses with sincerity of heart. David and Abiathar prospered and became better instead of being diminished in the practice of idol worship and sin like Saul. Saul even consulted a medium describing how wickedness and envy does not help anyone. David improved praying and singing worship songs while Saul declined in might for believing lies from a medium. Despite Saul's envy, David persisted with unchanging fidelity and became impressive. GOD Almighty judges with equality and justice.
