Persevering With Unchanging Fidelity to GOD Almighty Described in Psalm 34
Positive Christianity Series #331
The story of David described that GOD Almighty is aware of our lives and helps us persevere through adversity and times of difficulty. David never doubted GOD Almighty and thrived through everything. Instead of being resentful or envious, David removed the negative emotions and prospered. Despite being envied by Saul, Abner, Doeg, and 3,000 soldiers of Saul, it was David who prospered trusting in the Maker of Heaven and earth (Psalm 95: 3).
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all."- Psalm 34: 19
Psalm 34: 19 describes in great detail how our fidelity to GOD Almighty allows us to persevere through everything. GOD Almighty's fidelity to us is eternal and infinite. While David went through adversity, GOD Almigty was with David. We learn that while there may be adversity, GOD Almighty delivers us from everything. David persevered and prospered through everything. David's story describes the importance of fidelity in our lives. We learn that Abraham and Sarah, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and Daniel were able to persevere trusting in the Almighty.
"He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken."- Psalm 34: 20
We learn from the story of Daniel that GOD Almighty also delivered faithful and righteous Daniel who was envied by the Persian administrators for being impressive, industrious, talented, and wise. Daniel improved in the worship of GOD Almighty. Daniel kept to the worship of GOD Almighty (Psalm 34: 15). Daniel was accused falsely by the envious idolatrous administrators. Daniel was placed in the lion's den and survived. GOD Almighty protected Daniel from the lions, and the lions did not want to know anything about Daniel. Instead it was the envious idolatrous who accused Daniel falsely who were thrown in the lion's den and eaten by the lions (Psalm 34: 16).
Daniel was able to survive by placing his faith in GOD Almighty even when there was envy and adversity. GOD Almighty prospered Daniel and even Darius and Artaxerxes II worshiped GOD Almighty. Darius decided to worship GOD Almighty after seeing that Daniel had survived being placed in the lion's den (Daniel 6: 23-28). We can prosper in the worship of GOD Almighty without having to practice idol worship, and GOD Almighty destroys the wicked (Psalm 34: 4).
Learning Hebrew
Zolam, עולם, means from ages of old or everlasting. We learn that GOD Almighty created the Heavens and the earth, and is LORD of everything. GOD Almighty has eternal and infinite dominion and authority over everything and is GOD of gods. GOD Almighty creates the oceans and can divide the oceans to allow his faithful to walk on dry ground seen in the story of Moses. GOD Almighty can walk on water and calm the storms seen in King Jesus Christ's ministry. GOD Almighty can also close the mouths of the lions to protect the righteous and also destroy the wicked who persecute the righteous seen in the story of Daniel. GOD Almighty can make fiery lightning bolts with hail to destroy the wicked who hate the righteous and can choose to have grace. GOD Almighty decides. We choose to place our trust in the Infinite and Eternal GOD of gods and not in a lying serpent that hates human beings. GOD Almighty does not forsake us and helps us persevere through adversity and opposition because we keep fidelity to the Eternal and Infinite King of kings.
